Chapter 11

The party was in full swing at a venue just out of town. Drinks were flowing, dancing was awful and people were already drunk, apart from Ste and John-Paul who needed to remain sober for their kids.

"Right, we think it is time for the first dance" Tony said into the microphone with Sylver stood next to him.

"That right, so Ste and John-Paul, Dance floor please." Sylver said and everyone cheered and cleared the floor.

Make you feel my love by Adele started playing and the two men swayed to the beat. John-Paul wrapped his hands around Ste's neck and Ste wrapper his arms around John-Paul's waist. They shared quick kisses here and there, they felt like no one was watching. That was until the song cut out and a different audio played. It said:

"John-Paul and Ste, I have all 4 of your children. If you want them back meet me at the loft in 30 minutes. If you don't then I will kill one of them. For every 30 minutes you waste, one of the children dies. After that, I come fore you two." The children's muffled screams could be heard in the background "We will start with the youngest and work our way to the oldest. If you want none of them to die then come now. See you soon hahaha"

The audio cut back to Adele.

"Stop the music" John-Paul shouted to the DJ.

"Can anyone see the kids?" Ste shouted to everyone there. No body answered.

"We need to go" John-Paul Said taking Ste's hand and they both ran out of the venue but not before turning to their best men.

"Keep the party going, we will be back soon" John-Paul said to Sylver and Tony. They nodded and went to start some music and get drinks flowing. Ste and John-Paul raced over to Ste's car and jumped in speeding to the Loft.

On the way John-Paul turned to Ste, "Did you recognise that voice?"

"Yes I did" Ste says remembering it was someone who he hadn't seen for years.

They pulled up to the loft and went inside to see the kids playing happily with some toys. Both men got really confused. They had heard screams so why were they playing.

"Did you really think I would hurt them Steven" He said walking in from the office.

"I thought you was in prison, Brendan." Ste said looking the Irish man straight in the eyes.

"Daddy Brendan gave us sweets" Leah said, holding up a bag of Haribo.

"What do you want with us?" John-Paul said looking at Matthew who was colouring.

"You said you would wait for me Steven, never forget me. What do you do, get married to the guy who I slept with in Dublin." Brendan says to them. That's when they see that there are two people with the kids.

"James, Harry?" John-Paul questions looking at the two men who are now stood next to Brendan.

"They helped me. See, the kids know them and went with them so they came here. Boys you know what to do." Brendan says and they go over to the kids.

James and Harry get the kids coats on they take them outside.

"Where are they going" Ste asks.

"Back to the wedding." Brendan responds and ask he does, two people grab Ste and John-Paul.

"What do you want with us Brendan?" Ste asks.

"I'd like you to meet my friends, Foxy and Flexy" Brendan says gesturing to the men stood behind then that were gripping the couples hand together so they couldn't move. Ste looked and it was Warren Fox and Felix D. Brendan punch Ste and John-Paul straight in the stomach. He hit them again and again and again, until they were both on the floor.

Back at the wedding

James and Harry walked through the doors with the kids in tow, everyone ran over to them.

"We found them wondering outside." James said, letting the kids go.

"Thank you, where is Ste and John-Paul" Tony asks

"They will probably be back soon when they realise all this was a hoax" Harry says going to get a beer.

The party went on for half an hour more until people started to worry. Some people were planning on going to find them when Warren and Felix burst through the doors looking for Ste and John-Paul. No one knew.

"Brendan's back." Warren said to Tony and Myra.

"Who is Brendan?" Some people asked.

"Brendan is Ste's ex, killed two people to protect Ste. Killed 5 in total." Tony said.

"Danny Houston and Simon Walker. I watched him kill Danny with my own eyes. He was ruthless. Brendan would have done anything to protect Ste." Warren says and everyone looks scared. What would he do to them? Just as they said that Ste and John-Paul stumbled through the doors covered in blood and supporting each other. Warren and Felix knew that Brendan had done something bad so they rushed over to the two men before they collapsed in their arms.

"Everyone out." Felix demanded.

"Myra, I'll take the kids back to the house and put them to bed. I have the keys. I was looking after them for Ste." Tony says as he takes the kids hand and lead them out the door. Everyone left apart from James, Harry, Warren and Felix. They four men knew what he was up to but never stopped him and now they are in a bad way. Warren and Felix laid the pair on a table as Harry and James grab first aid kits.

"It's going to sting boys" Warren said and the two very weakly nodded. Warren, being trained in first aid, patched the boys up rather quickly. They sat them up and gave them water. Harry and James had left and so had Felix.

"What a day huh, married in the morning then fought Brendan Brady in the afternoon." Ste said and took John-Paul's hand.

"We should get you two home. Rest up until you feel ok" Warren said helping both boys off the table.

"Next time we have a party, we keep a close eye on the kids" John-Paul says as they walk outside to Warrens car.

Warren drove them home and dropped them off at the door. He helped them in and got them sat on the sofa.
