Finding merlin
This one is a bit odder then the others. Merlin isn't found in any jewelry like the other gems. Instead she is found in a bubble that Jericho stole from

Yeah merlin ends up being this Au's bismith with the traumatic bubbling and all. Yet, in this case she has realized is a bit more chill.
When she's unbubbled, she's with everyone except Meliodas because he's helping Nadja with a gift for Gowther. So he remains blissfully unaware of what happened to them. Well for now.
Anyways, in the show Merlin is unbubbled and cries when seeing her friends. She hugs them and, even welcomes the three sisters with joy. Everything if perfect. In fact the whole episode would be about them bonding and reforming bonds. Just getting to know each other again.
that is until Meliodas comes over. Then all hell breaks lose.
Merlin's memory
When she sees Meliodas she freaks out screaming he did this. He broke them up. He framed them for the death of pink diamond. Everyone doesn't know what she's saying. They're not even close to knowing. So they just ask her..and we'll that's when she lets the ball drop.
Meliodas is a diamond.
He's the youngest, green diamond.
He's the diamond that went missing right before Pink was killed.
The one known for shattering millions of gems with his tantrum.
Meliodas freaks when they find this out. He tries to explain but everyone thinks she's lost it. After all this is Meliodas they're talking about. He wouldn't hurt a fly....or at least that's what they think before merlin shows them her memories.
She shows them the memory of the day they were all poofed. It starts right before the battle with a conversation with Escanor, which is our first look at him in this AU. This look shows us he is a half breed of sorts.
After the talk, she goes to check on Meliodas only to find him in his diamond form and talking to someone over the communicator. He's begging for answers from someone...pink diamond. He's asking about answers about some garden game (*hint,hint*, nudge nudge*). Yet Merlin doesn't care.
She panics seeing him. He panics yelling her name as she turns running the other way trying to find someone just as pink hangs up. She's running and sees her friends when suddenly everything goes black...someone poofed her when she was inches away from her friends.
This of course means that instead of Merlin bubbling her friends, someone else did. And all gems believe diamond could replace any memory in your mind, because of how powerful they are.
Meliodas is green diamond. So that means they could poof him.
The room is silent when Ban asks if it's true. He asks if Meliodas is green diamond and could ave stopped the war this whole time. He could have done anything to stop the war before it reached them, before it killed Elaine, before it cause Escanor to be disowned, before it caused everyone so much pain. Meliodas just stands there shaking breathing heavy losing focus and shifting into his true form freaking everyone, espically Jericho, the fuck out.
He sees the panic and while having a panic attack summons wings and flies off...making everyone wonder wheee he is going. Except for Ban...something about mentioning a garden has stopped something into place in his head.
Something about pink Diamond.
