When King wandered into the living room of the Owl House, he found Luz on the floor with papers, pencils, and markers sprawled out on the floor around her. She was so busy drawing whatever it was she was drawing to notice King enter the room.
"Luz?" King spoke up, startling Luz causing her to flinch a little and look over to him. He then made his way towards her, careful not to trip on any pencils. "What are you doing?"
"Oh. Hello King," she greeted him while he took a seat beside her. "I was just making invitations for a sleepover I'll be hosting."
"Sleepover? When?" King asked.
"Tomorrow night," she said, as she finished writing down on the invite she was previously working on. "Don't worry. I already got permission from Eda to host it." King only nodded, then decided to climb onto the sofa to take a nap, while Luz continued to work on her invites. It didn't take much longer before she was finished and got ready to find her friends to give them to.
First was Willow. They met at the park, sat on a bench for a while to talk, then Luz gave her the invite and bid goodbye. Next was Gus. She met him at his home. She didn't stay long, only for a short chat and to hand off the invite. Finally was Amity, she ended up finding her in her secret hideaway in the library.
"Hey Amity," Luz said after opening the door to the hideaway. Amity looked up from her book to see her.
"Hi Luz," she greeted, a light blush appearing on her cheeks. "What exactly did you want to meet up about?"
"Well, I have an invite for you," Luz said, holding out the folded piece of paper towards her friend. Amity took it and unfolded it to see a drawing and a list of information for a sleepover.
"A sleepover?" Amity read out loud, her cheeks getting redder. "At the Owl House?"
"Yeah. Willow and Gus will be there too. We'll be playing games like Never Have I Ever or Truth or Dare, eating snacks, and maybe watch a movie while we fall asleep," Luz explained some of things she was hoping to do with her friends. "We could even have a pillow fight, give each other makeovers, or tell each other scary stories."
It took Amity a second to think if she was free that night, and when she couldn't remember any plans, she said yes to the invite. Luz was thrilled but didn't want to leave so soon. So the two of them hung out until the library closed, talking about the Azura books and other things they could do at the sleepover.

Luz spent the next day mostly preparing snacks, making a list of activities, and making room in the living room for everyone's places for sleeping. Willow and Gus showed up just after the time on the invites, but Amity didn't until fifteen minutes later. Her explanation was that her siblings kept bothering her and taking her stuff while she was trying to pack. But in reality, it took her a little while due to a small panic of the thought of sleeping in the same room as her crush.
"So, what's the first activity planned for the night?" Willow asked, sitting next to Gus on the floor, both were snacking from the same bowl of chips. Amity sat next to Willow on the floor, and Luz was standing.
"I'm glad you asked that, Willow," Luz said, before pulling out an esil and a pack of markers. "First, we'll play Pictionary."
"What's that?" Gus asked. Luz was a little shocked that they didn't have this gme in the boiling isles, but explained the game with ease. The four of them made two teams; Luz and Gus, and Willow and Amity.
The game started off awkwardly, mostly because they were trying to get used to the rules. Eventually though, they were yelling guesses and answers at each other. They got so loud that Eda ended up asking them to do something else. The four of them just laughed it off and decided to give each other makeovers next, hoping it would be a little quieter.
Willow had convinced Gus to let her do his makeup, so they were sitting face to face on the floor, working away at that. Luz and Amity were sitting on the couch. Luz was doing Amity's nails while they were talking about a Azura fanfic Luz had once written. Once she was done, Amity nails were pink and orange, and then she started working on Luz's nails. Once Willow finished Gus' makeup, she showed him off to the others.
"Looking good, Gus," Luz said, giving him a friendly wink.
"Thank you," Gus said, then he grabbed a bowl of cheddar chips and started snacking away. Willow decided to join the other two on the couch and do her own nails. No one was talking. Everyone was just enjoying the peaceful silence, until Luz leaned over to Amity's ear to whisper something. Amity nodded, then paused her work on Luz's nails, pulled out her scroll and played some music. Gus was the first to get up and dance, then Luz and Amity when they were finished, and finally Willow. The four were dancing to the music like there was no tomorrow.

After a couple more hours of dancing, playing games, and eating snacks, the four finally decided to go to bed. They had their four sleeping bags layed out beside one another on the floor. Luz found a movie on the crystal ball to play, and the four attempted to fall asleep. Willow was the first asleep, then Gus. Luz couldn't sleep because she was too engrossed in the movie. Amity couldn't fall asleep because she was too busy freaking out about being next to Luz.
Eventually, Luz fell asleep, and while Amity was almost asleep, Luz reached over to her and grabbed her hand. Amity looked at Luz and noticed that she wasn't awake when she did so, but Amity didn't want to wake her up. So she held Luz's hand while she fell asleep, happy to have spent such a great evening with her.
