A continuation after Sleepover
(2/2)
Sometime throughout the night of the sleepover, the four friends were sleeping peacefully. Until, the green haired witch on the far right side of the sleeping friends started to toss and turn in her sleep. It wasn't too much. She didn't hit the girl sleeping next to her at first. But after a short while, she started to move around more and more, quiet whimpers coming from her mouth. She only hit Luz once to wake her up.
Luz felt something hit her leg, but she didn't know what. All she knew was that she was now awake. She slowly sat up with her eyes half open. She rubbed her eyes in hopes of waking herself up a little more to see what time it was. But the cries of fear from the girl next to her quickly got Luz's attention. She looked down to the witch to see her tossing and turning quite violently, desperate to fight off whatever was terrorizing her dreams.
"Amity?" Luz tried to gently wake her up without waking the other two witches sleeping soundly. She put a hand on Amity's shoulder, which seemed to somehow make her movements slightly less violent. She was still tossing around though, and was still asleep. "Amity? Amity!"
Luz started to raise her voice a bit louder so she could hear her, but it wasn't working. Luz then started to gently shake her, starting with the one hand already on Amity's shoulder. When that didn't seem to work, Luz then put her other hand on Amity's other shoulder, and started to shake her a little more.
"Amity. Wake up!" Luz didn't yell, and thankfully she didn't have to. After having did what she did, Amity then shot up with a heavy gasp. She then proceeded to struggle to catch her breath sitting up in the sleeping bag while taking in her surroundings. Finally remembering the sleepover she was currently attending, she looked to her right to see Luz with a very concerned facial expression.
"Luz?" Amity questioned.
"Amity, are you ok?" Luz asked, keeping her voice low as she was still trying not to wake up the others.
"I-I... I don't know..." Amity almost yelled because of how scared she was. She continued to breathe heavily while trying to explain her nightmare. "I-I was.... I was-"
"Shh," Luz shushed Amity to calm her down. It was clear she was upset and forcing her to explain her dream was a bad idea. So while Luz tried to calm her down, she took her arms and wrapped them around Amity in a hug. Amity gladly accepted it and quickly wrapped her arms around Luz. She held onto Luz tightly while silent tears soaked the shoulder of Luz's shirt. Luz didn't care. She only rubbed her arms up and down the witches back.
After a while, Amity was calm enough to explain her bad dream to Luz. While she explained it, she was shaking, so Luz kept rubbing her back in an attempt to keep her calm. Once she was finished explaining, she didn't want to stop hugging Luz. Eventually though, the two did have to go back to sleep. So Luz held Amity's hand while they fell asleep, not knowing that they had already fell asleep holding hands before.
