Rained In

"Amity!" Luz called down the hallway, grabbing the attention of not just her girlfriend, but everyone else's as well. Once she got her attention, Luz started running down the hall.

"Hey Luz," Amity greeted her. Luz was now bent over with her hands on her knees, out of breath. "Need a drink?" Amity asked, holding out an Apple Blood juice box, to which Luz happily accepted.

"Thank you," After finishing the juice box, she stood up straight and tossed it into the nearest trash can. "You always know how to take care of me."

A light red blush appeared on Amity's cheeks after having heard Luz's comment. After dating for almost a month, of course they learned a thing or two about one another. And after a week or so of Luz running down the hall to see her, Amity got in the habit of having a drink ready for Luz when she needed it. Yet, that comment still made her blush.

"Anyway," Luz started, catching Amity's attention, once again. "I was wondering if you wanted to come over to the Owl House after school. We both have that test in history tomorrow we could study for. Or..." Luz put her head on Amity's shoulder, wrapping an arm around her waist, before continuing. "... we could catch up on some much needed cuddling."

Amity giggled at Luz's behaviour. "Ok. I'd love to come over," she said, and Luz jumped for joy.

Once the school day was over, Luz was already waiting by Amity's locker before Amity got to it. It wasn't long until they interlocked their hands and were making their way through the forest towards the Owl House.

When they got to the Owl House, they set up their notes and textbooks on the living room floor and got to work. They spent hours looking at class notes, rereading certain pages in the textbook, and taking long breaks talking about their favourite book series.

"... and that's why Azura did what she did," Luz finished ranting about a part of the Good Witch Azura books.

"But, are you sure she didn't do it for-" Amity started, but got cut off.

"Yes. I'm positive," Luz said, throwing her arms up in the air then letting them fall. Amity just giggled at her reaction, a small blush showing on her cheeks.

"Ok, ok," she said in attempt to calm Luz from her rant.

And during the short silence between the two witches in training, a soft rumble came from outside, causing the two of them to turn to the windows. Not long after, the rain started to fall. It was soft and quiet at first, barely heard without opening a window. But it eventually turned into a downpour, hitting the windows hard and loud.

"Welp," Luz stood up off the ground. Amity turned her attention from the windows to Luz, who was now at the window looking out at the rain. She could see Eda already outside, casting a spell to protect the house from the boiling rain. Amity decided to stand up and stand next to Luz at the small window.

"I guess I won't be leaving anytime soon," she said. Another rumble was heard, louder than the last.

Luz took Amity's hand in hers and leaned the side of her head against Amity's. "Good. More time we get to spend together," Luz said. The comment made Amity blush once again, but then she smiled and gently squeezed Luz's hand in agreement.

The two of them then made their way to the couch. Amity sat down while Luz grabbed a blanket. Then they laid down and cuddled on the couch until the storm ended. While they tried to fit both their bodies on the sofa, Luz ended up laying slightly on top of Amity. The two had their arms wrapped around each other and all they did was talk.

Their school stuff was still in a mess of papers and pens all over the living room floor, but they didn't give it a second thought. Both were a little too focused on something, or someone, else.
