Short Sad Story
...Fives watched as his brother died in front of him trying to save others lives. A reason Fives hated the war is he had to watch the ones he loved die.
Echo was the closest brother he had. They went through everything together. He was the last member of the domino squad Fives had left. Now, he was all alone.
Fives just got back from the battle. So many lives lost, but he had to live. Why? Why in this cruel universe would he live? What was his purpose? Did he ever have a role in this war? Someone could easily replace him. Loose one clone, you get ten more. But there was no one like Echo. No one could replace him.
Fives sat on his bunk on the 501st's ship. Rex had requested that the other clones should leave him alone for a while. Ahsoka had stopped by thought. She too had tears to shed, but couldn't because she was a Jedi. Non the less, it was still comforting. The commander was a great one.
"She said that she blamed herself you know?" Fives said. He knew he was talking to himself, but he believed that Echo was listening. Or at least hoped. It's what the Jedi said. They will always be with you. Connected with the force. Fives might as well give it a try.
