"What will we do, Chet?"

That was the question she asked me before she left for the airport. I went to their village and she went to the gate to see me too. She drove to where I was parked and got in my car for one last time before she goes.

When she got in, she was still in her pajama. And I grabbed her pagkasara pa lang ng sasakyan. Hindi ko na naisip kung napatay ko ba yung ilaw sa loob ng sasakyan o hindi. Basta pag sakay niya, I hugged her agad. She did not fight me. She let me hugged her. She also wrapped her arms around me.

"I love you"

"I love you too."

That was the second time she said those words to me. I hugged her tight before letting her go. I gave her my going away present, a Rolex Datejust Ladies White Gold Diamond Pave and three insulated flask of her favorite colors. She was surprised with the watch, what for daw? I told her to remind her that every second of every day, I love her. And the flasks for cold and hot drinks kasi mahilig siya sa cold and hot chocolate drinks. We talked for a while hanggang, dumaan ang sasakyan ng daddy niya at tumigil sa tabi ng sasakyan niya. She looked at me and hugged me. I kissed her.
And then I gave her the title for the condo under her name
I told her not to open it until she is in the plane
I made her promise me and she said she will only open it in the plane. I guess she is also afraid of what might be inside of it.

I kissed her again. She kissed me back and she got off the car, waved to me and got in her car. I put down my window and waved to her Dad who was surprised to see me there. And he drove behind his daughter. I do not even feel the slightest fear na baka magalit sila sa amin.

It's been a day since I last saw her. She said she would call me pag dating niya dun. Sana inihatid ko na lang siya dun. What is happening to you, Chet? Focus! Dika na nag iisip ng matino lately eh. Puro Lee na lang nasa isip mo.

"Chet!"

"Ma? Why are you here?"

"You have been avoiding me for the past days. I wanted to talk to you about your wedding to Cindy."

" What wedding? Did Dad approved of it?"

" He has nothing to do here. And I want you to get married to Cindy as soon as possible."

" Pumayag ako sa charade na mag engage sa kanya but I did not agree to marrying her. Besides, naghahanap ako ng paraan para mabili ang share nila sa partnership natin. And Mommy hindi naman utang yun. Wala tayong utang sa kanila."

" You don't get it do you? Palibhasa wala kang alam sa negosyo. And rhe last time I checked, Chinese ka pa din."

" Filipino ako Mommy. Chinese heritage."

" And you find this funny Cheston?"

" Mommy, the last person who would be laughing right now would be me."

" This weekend, we will talk with the Tans about your wedding,"

" There will no wedding Mommy."

" Ako ang masusunod."

" Mom, let me remind you, Dad just gave me his assets all his properties.meaning I can always buy you out. Remember, Daddy is three times richer than you."

" When did he give you"

" Before the accident. He said he wants me to have it."

Well,actually hinsi naman ganun pagkasabi ni Dad. Parang, not totally ibibibigay, just letting me know na may mamanahin ako from him. Mukhang alam niya na ang nanay ko puro pera at negosyo lang ang nasa utak. I really do not care kung may mana ako. Basta alam ko, gagawin ko ang nagpapasaya sa akin.

"I really do not care if you have money or not. We will meet with the Tans on Saturday. And I want you to be there."

" I am not getting married, Mom"

" Let's see about that."
