Carlos looked at his father's chief advisor and nodded once at his greetings.

No one could believe what they just heard, Prince Carlos?

They thought his name is Tom?

"A-a-are you saying he is your son?" Tobias asked shocked. First of all, he doesn't want to believe that the man he is looking at is the King of England. He had known two months ago that the Prince is missing but he never, never stop to think that the nobody Thomas in his town could be the missing Prince. Why is fate playing this joke on him?

William looked at him and nodded, "yes, he is my son."

"B-b-but his name is Thomas!"

"Apparently, it looks like he had lied to all of you about his identity and name" he looked around at the faces of the spectators "my son has never been the type to throw his identity around nor use it to order people around. Sometimes even though he thought I didn't know, he always wish he can go to a desolate town where he is unknown and live just like a nobody. I guess, he found what he has always been wishing for here" he smiled.

"Dad" Carlos called and his father smirked.

Everyone was still frozen, they cannot believe this. So what he is trying to say is that, Thomas, is the prince of England whose real name is Carlos and then he, is the King of England, King William?

Some shook their head, telling themselves not to fall into the prank.

Jasper kept staring at Carlos, could it be?

He remembered one of his days in Countryside, he had seen a newsletter with the news that the prince is missing. He also saw a photograph of him but he was dressed in his princely robe and totally unidentifiable.

Shit!

He has been insulting the Prince?!

And what was that he said on his birthday, that he is sure he has never been to such party in his life before and have never tasted such wine. Even Philip his friend also claimed that Tom has never stepped his foot into a mansion before.

Thinking back to all those and his mocking words to him, he felt like laughing at himself and after the laugh came the fear.

For goodness sake, Tom is Carlos, the Prince. He is a fucking prince and him? He is just the son of the mayor and yet he never hesitates to brag in his presence.

Ha!

What if he wish to get back at him now? After all, just a word from him and these bodyguards will beat him black and blue. He immediately clutched onto his father's arm in fear, his gaze never leaving Carlos' face who seemed to not even notice his presence.

His realization came with that of the town as well.

Thomas is a Prince!

Those that treated him bad were suddenly feeling sad and fearful of what his order would be for them.

Tobias swallowed his saliva fearfully, he can't believe this, a prince has been in his town for five months and he had no idea. The only way for him to suck up to the royal family and he missed it. The worst is that he even saw Tom as someone irrelevant. 

Just why do this kind of things always happen to him? He felt like crying.

Elaine woke up from her shock then, her gaze trailed from Carlos to his sister then his mother, and back to him. She thought he said he doesn't remember?

They have lived in the same house for five months altogether, dating for two months in it now and he still didn't tell her that he has his memories?

Just why?
