It had been 3 months since my birthday. I had mostly forgotten about the journal, I hadn't even checked it in a month. Until today. I was searching for an extra pair of headphones in my desk as mine had been sent off for repair (I had a warranty). As I was digging through the drawers, I found it. My soulmate journal. Out of curiosity I looked. Immediately my heart started to race. They had answered.
'About time! I've been waiting for you'
I smiled. I had a feeling I couldn't describe. I was in touch with my soulmate! I rushed to grab a pen and wrote back hastily. "Boy, am I glad to hear from you. I feel like it's been forever!" I reread the message and cringe slightly. Obviously, it had been forever. As far as I was aware, we've never met. I sigh and close the journal, going back to looking for my extra headphones.

Sorry for the short chapter but it's a double update so, hey, I'm doing something! Anyways something I forgot to mention in the rules of the soulmate AU is that when your soulmate writes to you, the writing on the outside changes from gold to green. Anyways I hope you enjoy your day/night!
