' "911, what's your emergency?"

"... I killed my mother"

There was a pause on the other end as the operator took in what I just said.

"Y-you killed y-your mother?"

Tears poured down my face faster, hearing someone else say it made me hurt worse. But it was the truth and I am going to have to accept it.

"Yes...w-we live at 9556 L-lane St."

There was some typing, then the operator said "units on route, what's your name sweetheart?"

But the phone already slipped from my hand as I ran back to my mom, pulling her to my chest again. There was a lot of blood on me but I really didn't give a damn, this was no way for my mom to die.

She was a good woman, sometimes my mom would take a homeless family into a restaurant and order them food... she was a saint, she deserved to live longer than anyone I know.

"M-Melis-sa?"

My heart stopped as my moms eyes fluttered open slightly and met mine... she was still alive?!?!

"M-mom?" '

There was knocking at my door that made me sit up quickly. Every night I would replay that night, I could never get any real sleep, I'm just glad that someone woke me up before the worst part of that night got replayed.

"Y-yea?"

My door opened and Kyle walked in sitting on the edge of my bed, he looked like he was angry but also sad at the same time.

"Kyle? Are you okay?"

He wasn't wearing a shirt and I could see a long pink line going across his chest.

OH MY GOD!! THAT LOOKED SO BAD!!! What the hell did he do to himself after he found out mom died?!?!? It almost looked like he tried to kill himself, I hope this was from something else and he didn't harm himself.

"Kyle! what happened to you?!"

He looked down absentmindedly at his chest and shrugged, like he didn't even care and this behavior was really starting to scare the hell out of me.

I sat up and laid a hand on his shoulder, trying to show him that he can trust me with the truth and I wouldn't judge him. But he shrugged my hand off and stood up.

"Don't!" he growled.

I looked into his dark eyes they were so dark they started looking black at some point and there was something in them that I had never seen before...

It could have been,

Anger?

Guilt?

Sadness?

...I couldn't put a finger on it but it was there.

"I seen the dining room... what happened?"

Oh, that's why he's here... I forgot all about that stupid in table.

I swallowed and looked down I didn't want to tell him what happened because nothing really happened. Dad pushed me then grabbed me that was it... I won't read between those lines.

"Nothing, I don't know what you're talking about"

Kyle growled at me again then stormed out my room, slamming the door behind him. He slammed it so hard that my whole window shook as well as my body, as sobs started coming up.
