Unexpected Proposals

“I thought I’d surprise you, did it work?”

I huffed out a loud breath as I glared directly at the boy, man, in front of me. His grey eyes alight with excitement and his mouth upturned in a smirk as he looked at me playfully. I felt my body tingling from his gaze and quickly turned to shut the door to my room, but not before checking to see if the hallway was clear.

“You definitely surprised me, mind explaining why the hell you’re in my room?” Andrew smiled again as he straightened up off the floor, holding onto the bags as he placed them upright next to my closet. He turned and walked back in my direction, somehow a lollipop had been lodged into his mouth.

“Well, long story short; Pete, Kit, Zara and I are all kind of like your Dad’s foster kids, or adopted children. He’s been looking after us for three years now, and since he’s crashing here, I figured I’d invite myself in. Don’t worry too much, I didn’t look in your drawers,” I sighed at his confession and lay back down on the bed, front down, “nice black lingerie though, lace is very sexy Addie,” I gasped and sat bolt upright and was surprised to find him already leaning over me.

“Asshole, th-that isn’t even mine, I bet it’s my Mum’s anyways,” I said nervously as he leaned ever closer. I could smell peppermint as he breathed on my face and I moaned slightly at the refreshing smell of his breath.

“Yeah sure, because your Mum definitely shops at Victoria’s Secret, I don’t think so love,”

“Stop changing the subject; what’re you doing in my room Andrew?” I asked as I cocked an eyebrow at him, trying desperately to ignore the effect he had on my body.

“I already told you. Besides, I have some things to explain to you, it seems your father wants me to break it to you since he’s too much of a chicke-,” I could see his Adam’s apple bobbing in his throat nervously as he caught his words and his eyes flashed to meet mine before sending me a carefree smile, “because he’s too scared he’ll lose you,”

I glared at him and pointed at the chair in the corner of my room, nodding my head towards the area, signalling for him to take a seat. It was also a way to keep my head level as his proximity was starting to unnerve me now.

I looked in his direction and instead of sitting like I initially thought he would, he ran his hands through his hair and he turned to look at me. The light in the room was low enough so I could see the shadows on his face, making him seem both dangerous and sexy. I bit my lip and I could tell his eyes weren’t the usual shade of grey that they were, instead they seemed to be a dark black, the rims shining a dull golden colour.

He started to speak, his hand rubbing the back of his neck as he kept his piercing gaze on me, his eyes were trailing a trail of hot fire down my body as he ogled at me. He took a step towards me and I moved back until my back hit the headboard of my bed; in that same second his demeanour changed, and his eyes went back to grey.

“Andrew, I’m only going to ask once, and once only; are you like me? Ca-can you transform too?” I felt my palms becoming sweaty as I looked down at them. I had a habit of folding and unfolding my hands when I got nervous, or was under tremendous pressure, not to mention they’d start sweating too.
