I lick my lips in the silence
My quickest source of hydration
Looking down the edge of this cliff
The dark frightening abyss stares backLegs weighing lead
I can neither fall nor turn back
So there I remain
In the vastness of it all
👣Now my heart feels heavy
My eyes are moist
I hear the wind whisper
Cry me a river
🥀How long will this reoccurrence last?
When will I find final redemption?
It now echoes back like a cliche
A fatal rhetoric
🍁My hands are spread out wide
I still have hopeful thoughts
Can someone hear me?
Can gravity catch this fall?✍ Niara's Table
