Runaway Princess

A new adventure

She seemed like those mean girls in the movies, dressed in a mini-skirt and with a lot of makeup on her face and when I say a lot, I mean too much... She looked at me from head to toe with a disgusted look.

-You should really watch where you are going... she said disgusted.

-Ah and you, you should try to be a less bitchy...

She looked at me with a surprised look.

-You don't mess with Evy! She said angrily...

-Well, I think people who talks about themselves in the third person are full of themselves! I retorted with sass.

-Well...

Then James approached and took Evy's shoulder.

-Hey, calm down... he said.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing, he didn't even tell me he had a girlfriend and... it hurt me.

-Are you okay Amber? James said nervously.

-Well... I began. It's like he knew what I was thinking.

-My sister can be a lot sometimes... he continued.

Sister!  I was  so happy inside, but I tried to not show it.

-Oh, your sister. I said and James smiled at me like he knew exactly what was happening in my head.

-You know this girl? Evy said disgusted again.

-Yeah. And I like her very much. He answered and that made me blush.

Then Evy looked at me from head to toe  AGAIN and she had a surprised look on her face.

-Are you wearing my clothes? She said.

-Hum. I began

-Yes, she is. And I will explain that to you later. James continued and I felt relieved.

-Whatever. I'm leaving. Evy said and she went to talk to other girls.

-Thank you. I whispered in James' ear.

-You're welcome princess. He said winking at me.

The rest of the day passed rapidly and it was already time to go shopping with Hazel. I didn't know her very much, but I had a feeling we would become great friends rapidly. This day made me feel normal and it made me know what it feels to not be royalty for one day. I was lost in my thoughts when Hazel arrived and it made me jump. Like, literally jump!

-Whoa, are you okay? I didn't know I was that scary! She said laughing.

-Sorry, haha. I was lost in my thoughts. I answered with sass.

-Okay, well, we should go. She continued.

Then, we left school.

Soon after, we arrived at a little shop where there were a lot of dresses. But only one stood out. The dress was not like any of the dresses Maria made for me, it was shorter and it was a dress to go to an high school party. The dress was navy blue and it was like it was made for me, well not for me, but for Amber. I went into the fitting room and tried on the dress. It fitted perfectly! I knew that this was the dress I was going to buy. Luckily, I thought about bringing money. I went to buy the dress and came back to Hazel who had found a yellow dress that also fitted her perfectly.

-Amber...? She asked.

-What?

-Do you want to get ready at mine?

-Sure! I said.

Then, we left the store.

When we arrived at her house, we went into her bedroom and started to get ready. 30 minutes later, we were just finishing our makeup, when someone knocked on the door and asked to come in.
