Potter's Sister

That stormy night, a tall house, on a rock island somewhere out at sea, the Durselys including the twins moved there, due to the chaos of the letters. The family is sleeping, with the twins on the cold, dirt floor and Dudley sleeping on the sofa. Harry and Hope lay on their stomachs as Harry drew a birthday cake and candles, Hope wrote their names and Happy Birthday. Harry looks at Dudley's watch, which bleeps 12:00. 

"Make a wish, Harry." Hope says. "Lets do it together." He said to his sister, she nods in agreement. The twins counted to three then blew the 'candles' that were drawn. Suddenly, the door thumps, in sync with the thunder. Harry and Hope both jump at the sound, the door thumps again, Dudley wakes up and the three of them jump up and back away from the door.

Harry grabs his sister's arm and pulls her with him behind a wall, Dudley cowers on a windowsill. Petunia and Vernon walk down the stairs, whislt Vernon holding a double barrell gun, "Who's there?" Vernon yells towards the door. The door bangs and then falls down, a giant man appears in the doorway. He comes into the clear lightning, he is revealed to be Hagrid.

"Sorry 'bout that." Hagrid says as he turns around and puts the door back up. Vernon aims his gun at him, "I demand that you leave at once, sir! You are breaking and entering." As Petunia gasps in fear, Hagrid grabs the gun and bends it upwards. "Dry up, Dursley, you great prune." Hagrid told Vernon. The gun fires upwards, blasting a hole in the ceiling, causing the two to shriek in fear. Hagrid notices Dudley, "Boy, I haven't seen you since you was a baby, Harry, but you're a bit more along than i would have expected. Particularly 'round the middle. And where's yer sister haven't seen her either." Hagrid said happily, Dudley looked at Hagrid in fear, "I-I-I-I'm not Harry." Dudley answers scaredly.

Harry and Hope walk out from behind the wall, "I-I am." Harry answers pushing his sister behind him. Hagrid looks down at them, "Oh, well, of course you are! Got something for the both of ya. 'Fraid i might have sat on it at some point! I imagine that it'll taste fine just the same. Ahh, baked them myself." He says as he hand Harry and Hope both white boxes with ribbons on it. "Words and all. Heh." Hagrid added, the twins open the boxes, which reads "Hapee Birdae Harry" on one and "Happee Birdae Hope" on the other in green frosting. "Thank you" The twins say. "Its not everyday that your young man and lady turn eleven, now is it?" Hagrid asks. Hagrid sits down on the sofa, and takes out his umbrella and points it at the fireplace. Two sparks fly ou and a fire starts. The family gaps, while the twins stare in amazement.

Harry sets his cake down, "Excuse me, who are you?" Harry asks politely. Hagrid looks at the twins, "Rubeus Hagrid. Keeper of keys and grounds keeper at Hogwarts. Course, you both know all about Hogwarts." Hagrid says. Hope looks at him confused, "Sorry, no." Hope said. 

"No? Blimey, didn't you ever wonder where your mum and dad learned it all?" Hagrid asks. Harry is now the confused one, "Learned what?" Hagrid looked at the twins, "You're a wizard, Harry. Hope you're a witch." Harry and Hope looked at each other confused then to Hagrid, "We're what?" Harry asks confused.

"A wizard and a witch. And thumping good ones at that, I'd wager. Once you both train up a bit." Hagrid says. "No, you've made a mistake. I can't be a wizard. I mean, I'm just..... Harry. Just, Harry." Harry says not beliveing what Hagrid says. "Well, just Harry. Did you guys ever make anything happen? Anything neither of you couldn't explain when you were angry or scared?" Hagrid asks. Hopes face softens, "At the zoo, I made the glass disappear." Hope says. Dudley whimpers, Hagrid hands the twins the same letter that has been sent the past while. Harry and Hope open their letters.

"Dear Mr. Potter, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts' School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Harry read outloud. "Dear Ms. Potter, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts' School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Hope read. 

"They'll not be going! We swore when we took them in, we'd put a stop to this rubbish!" Vernon told Hagrid. Hope looked at their uncle, "You knew? You knew all along and you never told us?" Hope angrily told him. Petunia looked at the twins, "Of course, we knew. How could you two not be? My perfect sister being who she was. Oh, my mother and father were so proud the day she got her letter. We have a witch in the family. Isn't it wonderful? I was the only one to see her for what she was. A freak! And then she met that Potter, and then she had you two, and I knew that you'd be just the same, just as strange, just as...... abnormal. And then, if you please, she went and got herself blown up. And we got landed with you kids." Petunia said disgusted.

Harry looked at Petunia, now it was his turn to be angry, "Blown up? You told us our parents died in a car crash." Harry said mad. "A car crash? A car crash killed Lily and James Potter?" Hagrid said. Petunia turned to Hagrid, "We had to tell them something." Petunia said.

"The truth would've been better!" Hope yelled. "It's an outrage! Its a scandal!" Hagrid said also mad. As everyone was yelling at each other, no one noticed Dudley taking the twins cake and eating it. "They'll not be going!" Vernon said again. "Oh, and i suppose a great muggle like yourself's are going to stop them, are you?" Hagrid said defending the twins. "Muggle?" Hope asked. 

Hagrid looks at Hope calmly, "Non magic folk." He said. He draws his attention back to Vernon and Petunia in anger, "These kids had their names down ever since they were born! They're going to the finest school of witchcraft and wizardry in the world, and they'll be under the finest headmaster that Hogwarts has ever seen, Albus Dumbledore." The twins smile upon hearing Dumbledore's name.

"I will not pay for some crackpot old fool to teach them magic tricks!" Vernon said. Hagrid whips out his umbrella and points it at Vernon, threatningly. Hope giggles at the sight of her uncle being defensless.

"Never, insult Albus Dumbledore, in front of me." Hagrid said angrily. Hagrid finally sees Dudley eating the twins' cakes, and aims his umbrella at his rear. He fires a magic spark at it, causing a tan tail to grow. "Ahhh!" Dudley yells, the Dursley's shriek in both fright and horror, as they run off out of sight. Harry and Hope laugh at the sight of this, so does Hagrid. 

Hagrid turns towards the twins, "Oh, um, I'd appreciate if you didn't tell anyone at Hogwarts about that. Strictly speaking, I'm not allowed to do magic." The twins nod, "Okay." Harry says. Hope zips her lip and turns her hand as to keeping his secret. He smiled and then checks his pocket-watch, "Oh, we're a bit behind schedule. Best be off." He goes off to the door and pulls it down again, before stepping out, he turns towards Harry and Hope, "Unless you'd rather stay, of course. Hmm?" Hagrid asks. Hope shook her head no and followed Hagrid grabbing her brother with her.
