All the first years are sorted in their houses, all of the students were talking to each other. McGonagall dings on her cup, " Your attention, please." All the students stop talking and look at McGonagall. Dumbledore rises from his chair, "Let the feast... begin."

Food starts to appear on the table, "Wow." Harry and Hope say in unison. Ron and the twins stuff their faces with food. A boy who they learned was named Seamus, "I'm half and half. Me dad's a muggle. Mam's a witch. Bit of a nasty shock when he found out." Seamus says to Neville and Hope. 

"He must've been gutted." Hope says to Seamus, he nods in agreement. Neville laughs at the conversation the three were having, Hope joining in. Ron reaches into the bowl for another chicken wing, but then a ghost pops up, "Ahhh!" Ron yelled. Hope got startled at the encounter. 

"Hello! How are you? Welcome to Gryffindor." The ghost man greeted. "Blimey." Hope says in shock. "Hello, Sir Nicholas. Have a nice summer?" Percy asked Sir Nicholas. He flew out of the table and out into the aisle so he could see Percy, "Dismal. Once again, my request to join the headless hunt has been denied." Sir Nicholas says. 

"I know you! You're Nearly Headless Nick!" Ron says happily. "Nearly headless?" Hope asked. "How can you be nearly headless." Hermione asks Sir Nicholas. "Like this." He says, he grabs his head and pulls it to the side. His head just hangig on by a thread. Ron yells while Hope and Hermione make disgusted faces at the sight. Harry rolls his eyes, Nick reattaches his head back to his body. "That was not how I expected to see at Hogwarts." Hope says in disbelief.

The Gryffindor first years were walking with their prefect, Percy. Hope noticed a lot of stairs and people walking. "Keep up, please, and follow me. Quickly now, come on. Come on." Percy said as he and the students started walking up the stairs, severeal of the portraits began greeting them, "Seamus, that picture's moving!" Neville yelled completely in shock. 

"Look at that one, Harry! Hope look!" Ron says in excitement. "I think she fancies you." Hope says jokingly, Harry laughs. A girl that named Rose-Marie tapped on Hope's shoulder, 
"Look!" Rose- Marie said pinting to a paintig above them, "Who's that girl?" Hope asked Rose- Marie shrugged her shoulders.

After walking on a long flight of stairs they finally reached the seventh floor, the students and their prefect is leading them down the corridor that goes to Gryffindor tower. They come to a large painting of a fairly large woman in a pink dress, she is to be known as 'The Fat Lady'. "Password?" The lady says. "Caput Dracoins." Percy says.

The lady smiles and nods in confirmation, the painting opens up to reveal a doorway in the way, leading to the Gryffindor Tower. "Follow me, everyone. Keep up, quickly, come on." Percy says leading the students into the common room, "Oh, wow." Marie says in astonishment. 

"Gather'round here. Welcome to the Gryffindor Common Room. Boy's dormitories , upstairs and down to your left. Girls, the same on your right. You'll find that your belongings have already been brought up." Percy says as he pointed left and right.

Hope and Hermione walk up the stairs on the right to find their rooms, "Hopefully, we're in the same room." Hermione sighs. "Me too." Hope says as they walk into the first door. "Estrella." Hope says walking over to her owl. "And hoping has worked." Hermione says sitting on the bed that's next to Hope's.
