emilarco - SONOGRAM

Emily has been staring at the sonogram for how many minutes now. She can't believe that there's life inside of her - again. It has not been easy the past few weeks and months for the family, especially losing Daniel and Katerina. It left a big hole in her heart and she doesn't know how to cope with that. She lost Daniel once and now losing him again permanently is something different, but now she has another chance of being a mother again. Another chance of doing everything this time with Marco.

She didn't notice that Marco has been looking at her already by their bathroom door. He is still mesmerized by her beauty and now that they learned she's pregnant, he wants to believe the glow that a woman receives when they carry a baby. Certainly, Emily has that. He can't contain the happiness that he felt the moment she told him about it. It was by far, the greatest news he received in a while and he wants to take that as their new start as a family.

"Mahal...", he calls her and she looks up, giving him a smile. "Bakit gising ka pa? Masama sayo ang nagpupuyat..", he says as he takes his side of the bed. Emily puts down the sonogram and lets herself be pulled by his arms, fitting herself around his body.

"Sobrang saya ko lang, Mahal. Hindi ko akalain na magkakaroon tayo ulit ng anak.", she says. They really never talked about having another one. They believed that if it comes then it's a blessing, if not, it's totally fine as long as they have each other.

"Me, too, Mahal. Baka sinabi ni Daniel sa Diyos kung ano talaga ang dasal ng puso natin. Baka binulong niya sa Diyos na bigyan tayo ng isa pang pagkakataon.", he says that made her smile. "Sa pagkakataong ito, magkasama tayong dalawa. Papalakihin natin siya ng tama, at puno ng pagmamahal. Wala ako sa tabi mo noon, pero pangako, Emily, nandito ako para sayo sa lahat ng oras."

Emily looks up at him and can't help but to give him a kiss. Her heart is too happy that everything that they've wished for is coming true. "Mahal na mahal kita, Marco."

"Mahal na mahal rin kita, Emily. Ikaw at ang magiging anak natin.", he says and gives her another peck on the lips.

"Mahal?", she says sweetly.

"Hmmm?"

Emily bit her lower lip and Marco knows what's going to happen next. "Gusto ko ng atis.."

He chuckles. Now he knows why his wife is extra sweet, but then he just nodded to give in to her cravings. He'll give anything to make her and their baby happy. "Okay, Mahal. Hintayin mo ako.", he kissed her hair, stood up and got dressed again to find the craving of the night. Before he left their bedroom, he hears her call again and he prays she won't say something crazy.

"Mahal..." and he looks at her beautiful pregnant wife. "Gusto ko seedless na atis, ha?" His eyes widened at her request. "Thank you, Mahal!", she says before he can even protest.

Crazy it may seem but he'll do anything for this another shot of life with Emily.
