Chapter 11

As we were driving to Jaime's mum's house, I could tell he was stressing out.
"Babe?" I said.
"Yeah?" He asked, focusing on the road.
"If you grip the steering wheel any harder I think you'll break it" I replied.

"Sorry" he mumbled, relaxing a bit. We soon pulled into the driveway and got out of the car.
"Now I'm warning you, she's really nosey and annoying..." he started to say.
"I've told you once and I'll tell you again, I can handle it" I said holding his hand.

We walked inside the small but cosy house.
"Mum, we're here!" Jaime yelled out, anxiety slightly in his voice. Suddenly I short woman came out of the kitchen.
"Jaime Alberto Preciado how are you my darling?" She asked in a Mexican type of accent.

"I'm fine mum" he groaned as she kissed him on the cheek. She then turned to me.
"You must be Kelsey, so lovely to meet you" she said and hugged me.
"Thankyou it's great to meet you too" I said, kinda shocked that she was hugging me.

We all walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table. Jaime's mum gave us a glass of juice each and then sat with us.
"So, how long have you two been together?" She asked Jaime.
"6 months" he said scratching the back of his neck, a nervous habit I'd picked up on of his.

"Well your one of the very few he's introduced me to" she said to me. I just nodded while Jaime was looking stressed out.
"Your brother wishes he could be here but he's in Europe working again" she said to Jaime.

"I don't think I could deal with him anyway" he laughed. We talked for a while and she was starting to warm up to me a bit more.
"So do you two plan on getting married?" She asked us. Jaime chocked on his drink.

"We'll just see what happens" I said while Jaime recovered from the shock of his mothers question.
"Well I would like to have grandchildren before I leave this earth Jaime" she said as he gave her a surprised look. I just laughed at how flustered he was getting.

After a while we decided to leave.
"Well she seems nice" I said to Jaime as we drove back to his place.
"Nice? She started talking about marriage and children!" He said, still freaking out a bit.
"Stress less sweetie, it's fine" I laughed.

"I'm sorry she just puts a lot of pressure on me sometimes about this sort of stuff" he sighed. We finally got to the house and went inside. I saw Tony sitting on the couch and Mike in the kitchen.

I sat next to Mike at the table while Jaime and Tony started playing FIFA.
"Where's Ashlee?" I asked him.
"She's hanging out with her friend Chastity, I didn't feel like third wheeling" he said rolling his eyes.
"How was the visit?" Mike asked me.
"It was pretty good actually, apart from Jaime freaking out" I laughed.

"She did the whole kids and marriage speech didn't she?" He asked.
"Yeah" I replied. This was obviously a normal occurance.
"Did he tell you about the tour?" Mike asked.
"Well Tony pretty much blurted it out, but yes he did" I said.

"Between you and me, I don't think he's gonna cope without you there" he whispered to me.
"Really?" I asked.
"I know Hime. He might make it through the first week or so, but after that he'll be messaging you all the time" he laughed.

"Obviously you'll be the same" he smirked as I stared at Jaime trying his best to win the game.
"I have work and Ashlee to distract me" I laughed, but on the inside I was freaking out about all of them being gone for 4 months.
