"Looks like we're sharing Hermione!"
Me and Hermione bought our trunks up the stairs to our room. I threw my stuff on the ground and jumped onto the bed. Hermione put her trunks down neatly at the end of her bed.
"Tired?" I sighed. All that noise and clapping.... that had never happened to me.
"Yeah, I guess." I dug around in my bag and pulled out a necklace. It was a green jewel. Hermione cleared her throat.
"Who are your parents?" She eyed the gem with a curious face.
I looked up and brushed the jewel. "Honestly, I don't even know. I never really knew my parents that much.... My dad left when I was young, and I never had a good relationship with my mother." I looked down and a tear rolled down my cheek.
Hermione got up and sat down beside me, and hugged me.
"I'm sorry..." She sat down beside me. I wiped my tears and sniffled.
"Dont feel sorry. I hate them anyways." I smiled weakly and she smiled back. I pulled myself together. I didn't want her to think I was a baby. I peeled her arm off my shoulder. She frowned and then her eyes lit up.
Hermione looked up and made a goofy grin, "Well at least Malfoy can't make fun of you now!" Hermione laughed. I was confused as I didn't know who this Malfoy was. Hermione looked at my confused face,
"Draco Malfoy?" I still had no idea what she was talking about.
"Tall blonde boy?" Then in an instant I realized who she was talking about.
"The one with grey eyes?" Hermione tilted her head. "Yes... never really paid attention but.... yes..." She looked like she was studying me, just like Harry had done. I looked down.
"There something you wanna tell me?" I groaned. "Well.... on the train...." I explained to her what had happened on the train ride here.
"Who knew Draco could've been at a loss for words?" She laughed.
"Why, is he a bad person?" I don't know what had gotten into me but suddenly I wanted to defend this Malfoy guy.
Hermione held her hands up. "Speaking from experience."
I scrunched my nose up and nodded. I stood up and walked out of the room, leaving Hermione to her confused thoughts. I didn't know where I was going, so I headed up multiple flights of stairs and many different hallways, until I reached this empty wall. Something seemed as if it was missing. Just then a big black door formed in front of my eyes. I was shocked and confused but intrigued at the same time. My curiosity obviously got the better of me, so I opened the door. All that I saw was a big bathroom. That was underwhelming. I stepped inside hoping that something would happen, and then the door opened.
~Draco's POV~
I opened the door to the room of requirement hoping to escape the noise and crowds that filled my common room. Partly to think about what had happened on the train and what a idiot I was. Ugh, Draco Malfoy has feelings. Imagine what would happen if someone found out. I mean she was a Gryffindor. But part of me felt as if she was put in the wrong house. I opened the door to find not only a bathroom, but Amber standing inside it.
She immediately took out her wand and I paused but then realized, surely she mustn't know any spells yet. All I knew was that she couldn't do anything to me, so being the person I am, I decided to play along. I entered the bathroom and slowly pulled out my wand from my robes. She kept her wand on me, directly facing my heart. I snorted.
"What are you going to do with that? I bet that you don't even know how to harm a fly with it." I smirked.
She lowered her wand and raised her eyebrows. Why was I doing this? I felt this feeling in my heart, but I ignored it and continued on.
"Besides, what did I ever do to you mudblood?" I emphasized on the last word. She looked pissed.
"What did you call me?" Her voice seemed calm, but I could tell she was thinking of what she would do next.
I walked over to her and pinned her against the wall. I was so close to her face that if I wanted to kiss her, she wouldn't be able to react in time.
"I said, What did I ever do to you MudBlood?" I could feel her breath on me, and I'm sure she could feel mine.
"I've heard your a bully." She seemed unrealistically calm. I figured she was trying to hide her fear. I chuckled.
"Whoever told you that is a idiot." She looked mad now. "My friends are not idiots." Her voice wavered as she said that last part.
"Oh so you have friends now," I laughed, "Are you sure they're not taking pity on the new girl. The 16 year old girl who has never been to Hogwarts? The girl that knows nothing except that she is an outcast? The girl who has Mommy issues...?" I pouted and smirked at her. As I started to walk towards the door I heard footsteps.
"You know nothing of my Mother..." Her voice was low and I could sense her anger boiling up at the surface. "Besides, I know that your an Idiot so that's something. Tell me something I don't know." She smirked at me and laughed while I scowled. So much for having some peace and quiet. I walked up to her and dug my wand into her chest, right where her heart was.
"Say that again and see what happens." She looked into my eyes.
"Try me." I dug it deeper and she winced.
I lifted my wand away from her chest and placed it back in my pocket. I started to walk towards the door, and just as I was in the doorway, I paused and turned around.
"Oh and next time, if we ever find ourselves wander into this situation again, make sure you have some spells so we can have a proper fight. Oh how I would love to see those pretty eyes fill with pain." And before she could react I walked away and slammed the door.
