Draco's POV~
As I walked into the great hall, all eyes turned on me. I was so used to the stares so I walked towards the Slytherin table. I assumed word of me and Amber's, how do you call it? Rendezvous, had gotten out. Nevertheless, once I glared at a couple of people they stopped starting. On my way to my table, I turned around to see Amber. She was sitting with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. As I sat down on the table and Blaise patted me on the back.
"What did ya do yesterday?" He and Goyle were snickering. Pansy smacked both of them on the head.
"Both off you, knock it off!" Pansy smiled and twirled her hair. I groaned and sat down beside Blaise. We had always known Pansy had a thing for me, but I never had feelings for her. That reminded me of the feeling that I felt yesterday when I was an inch away from Amber. I rested my head on my hand and sighed.
"Bloody Hell Draco, are you feeling ok? You usually have a comeback to say when Pansy acts stupid." Blaise and Goyle hid their laughter.
"Is it the dark lord?" Pansy came and sat next to me.
"No. Just yesterday...." I looked up towards where Amber was sitting.
"Draco, what did you do to her? There are so many rumors about what happened." Blaise looked at me intently.
"Nothing. I wasn't going to fight a stupid girl who didn't even know how to grip a stupid wand properly." I continued to stare at Amber. She seemed so happy. She looked back and shot me a glare. I looked down and stood up. "We have class, lets go."
As we entered the DADA classroom, I looked around to see which house we were taking class with. I saw Harry enter the classroom and immediately frowned.
"Great we're having class with Pottah." I almost spat out his name. I saw who followed him. It was Amber. I raised my eyebrows at her. She scrunched up her nose.
I sat down on a desk that was near the back of the classroom. Pansy and Blaise sat next to me. Snape entered the classroom and slammed his fist on the table.
"Take out your wands and gather around the front." Snape snarled. There was a rustling of moving and desk creaking. I eyed Professor Snape and he gestured to his office. Clearly there was something the Dark Lord wanted.
As we all circled around the front of the class Snape cleared his throat. "Today I will be testing how well you have remembered past classes and what you have learned," Snape eyed Amber. "Ms.Hexia, you can sit out for this one." He looked curiously at her. Amber looked uncomfortable and insulted and the looked Snape in the eye.
"Sir, with all do respect, I think I can participate. You might think I am not knowledgeable in magic, but believe me, I might just surprise you. And if I get mauled or I pass out, you have my permission to tell teachers that I decided to participate for myself." Amber smiled.
Snape glared at her with daggers in his eyes. Something bad was about to happen.
"Permission. From you?" Harry looked surprised and impressed at the same time. Hermione was stifling a laugh. Ron was gawking. And well me? I just thought she was being even more stupid. That girl had guts.
"Detention. But first, since you have insisted on being a part of this lesson, a duel with," He paused to look around, and I found him looking at me ",Malfoy might put you in the right mind." Snape smiled and Amber looked like she had been punched in the gut. I smirked and looked over at Amber. I might as well have kept up my antics
"Sir, this pathetic mudblood can inflict no harm to a fly. She doesn't even know any spells!" Amber turned as red as a beet and gave me this withering look, which I gladly returned.
Snape cleared his throat and leaned into Amber's ear and whispered something. She blinked a few times as if she was regaining her might to think. Then she smiled at me and held her wand pointed at me. Everyone started forming this big circle around us. I raised my wand and pointed it at her. For a second our eyes met and we locked our gaze.
"If you two lovebirds are done chatting, we have a lesson to get on with." Snape smirked and I could feel my face going hot, and Amber looked like she was too. A bunch of giggles erupted from the rest of the class. I could see Potter from the corner of my eyes. He and his little friends looked as if they were about to explode into a fit of laughter.
"Ready?" Snape suddenly spat out. Amber looked alarmed, and we both started walking towards each other.
"Scared Hexia?" Potter look red, which made me smirk, and lift up my spirits.
"Kin- You wish." She started and gulped. It seemed as if she had found her snarky and confident self all of a sudden. I snarled at her. We both turned back and went into our wand positions. "Start!"
"Expelliarmus!" "Wingardium Levio-" Amber's wand didn't fly into my hand, but did fall out of her hand, close to my feet. And at the same time, I almost went flying into the air, but she didn't do the spell right. Amber dashed to her wand while I was getting up. I jerked my head up.
"Petrificus Totalas!" "Confundo!" Just as I was about to point my wand towards Amber, her spell caused me to bind/disable Potter. I mean, I wasn't mad but... Hermione gasped.
"You GIT!" Ron pointed his wand at me. Amber ran in front of me.
"That was my fault, don't blame Draco. Sorry Harry. Although, I'm sure he loved getting Potter." Pansy and Blaise laughed. She smirked at me. I rolled my eyes.
She leaned into my ear and whispered, "Next time, I will get you. Maybe in the bathroom, it gave me confidence!" Just as she was about to pull out and leaned into her ear. "I hope that next time, I won't have to leave disappointed." She frowned. As I looked to see Potter, he was getting help standing up. Pansy looked mad. I walked towards Snape, and he nodded. "Class dismissed."
