*Hazel Murray*
"Mom, please, I'm begin you!" I cried out.
"No!" She shook her head.I've been asking her to let me go for at least one hour now.
"We had a deal, Hazel Bryn Murray."
I winced as my mom used my second name. Bryn was from Welsh, meaning hill. I hated when people used my hole name. Actually, the most accurate affirmation was I hated when my parents used it, since they're the only one who actually know my name.
"You finish High School, wait until you're 18, then you go to college, and only then you can travel." Mom said.
"But Mom, this isn't just about travelling. This is an amazing opportunity! If I wait until after college to accept it, it will be gone!" I said.Right after my conversation with Simon Cowell, I was too stunned to do anything. Then, I was jumping everywhere in excitement, even if my pounding head was killing me. Then, I went to see my mother, thinking she would be cheering with me. But I hit a wall. She said no. Simon Cowell, one of the best entrepreneur in the world was offering me a contract to be the opening act in One Direction Up All Night Tour and my mom just says no. I couldn't believe it.
"Mom! You have to understand! This could be my chance of getting away of all this." I said pointing the town.
"But... what about school?"
"Mom, we're June 1st... School finishes on June 8th. And after that it's summer." I pointed out.
"But... we don't have the money for that!" She said.
I sighed. "Mom.... That's the thing. I'll be paid for travelling. The hotel, the food, the clothing. Everything!"
"But honey... you're seventeen!"
"Mom, my birthday is on July 20th... I'll be 18 soon enough."
"You're not ready to leave the house." She snapped.
"YOU'RE THE ONE THAT'S NOT READY FOR ME TO LEAVE." I snapped back, instantly feeling awful for saying it. My mom's eye were glassy and I could tell she was on the verge of crying. "Mom, I didn't mean it, I just... This is what I want."My mom swallowed.
"You're right. I'm not ready. You're my baby. I don't want to see you go!" She burst into tears.
I pulled her into a hug, feeling extremely bad. But I had to stand my grown.
"You always wanted me to had a beautiful and successful life, Mom. This is it!" I softly said.
"I want you to have a happy life." Mom mumbled.
"Singing makes me happy!"She sighed in desperation. I saw that she was going to use her last cards on me.
"You'll be travelling with five young hormonal teenage boys, and I don't like it."
I chuckled. "Mom, you can't seriously think something can happen... I mean, look at me. There's a reason why I'm friendless. I'll probably scare them off on the first day."
"Hazel Bryn Murray, you are a beautiful and amazing person, don't you dare forget that." She snapped.
"You're my mother... It's kind of your job to think that. Now, please, will you let me go?"The tears started flowing again.
"You'll be away for so long!" Mom whined.
"I'll come back." I promised.
She stayed silent for a moment before agreeing. "Okay, fine."I squealed in happiness before hugging her.
"But!" Mom said. "You have to swear, Hazel, that if you don't like it, or you're uncomfortable wit some things you will come back immediately. Also, no funny business with those boys." She said crinkling her nose. "Lastly, you will call everyday and text me a huge bunch of messages!"
I giggled. "Sure Mom!"
She smiled tenderly to me. "Oh, my beautiful girl..."
"Come on! We have to call Mr. Cowell!"
"One minutes, young girl..." I stopped. She smirked. "You still have your father to convince."I groaned. This is going to be impossible.
"Fine. Where is he?"
"Locked in his study, like every night." Mom shrugged, sure that my father will say no.I sighed in exasperation. My dream just flew away, laughing at me.
I went upstairs and knocked on my father's study door. I braced myself, knowing that my father hated being interrupted when he worked. I heard a muffled groan through the door.
"What is it?"
"Dad, it's me. Can I come in? I have something, important to tell you." I hesitantly said.
"Sure, I have a minute."I slowly opened the door, and saw my father in front of his computer. His glasses were on his nose, his face was concentrated and tired. He looked up at me and smiled.
"What is it, honey?"
I took a deep breath.
"Okay... so here's the thing. You know I love to sing." My father nodded. "Well, the other day, I did a cover of a song from One Direction. You know who it is, right?" Another nod from my father. "A girl tweeted them and showed them my cover. They told their manager, Simon Cowell." I took a deep breath. "Simon Cowell called me a few hours earlier to ask me if I wanted to do the opening act of their show on their Up All Night Tour. I would travel with them until their Tour ends, all expenses paid and even I will be paid. Mom already agreed for me to go. This is what I want. I want to sing." I finished, taking my breath.
I braced myself for a tough argument with my father. I was very confused when I heard him chuckle.
"What? Did I say something funny?" I asked, puzzled.
"No, it's just that I never heard you say such a long speech." Dad laughed.
Now I was really confused. "But.. what about the Tour?"
Dad smiled. "If it's what you really want... Of course you can go, honey. Besides, you'll be 18 soon and you're finishing school. I don't any reason to keep you apart from your dream."I squealed in happiness and jumped in his arms. I was practically crying when he hugged me back.
"I love you, Dad."
"I love you too, honey."
I heard my Mom's voice at the door. "No, David Murray, you were supposed to say no!" She whined.
Dad chuckled. "We need to let our baby go, Susan. At least now we know she will be in good hand. Let's call Mr. Cowell, shall we?"My heart was about to burst in emotions. This is too good to be true.
*Harry Styles*We just finished our concert tonight at the Fox Theater, in Detroit. The fans were awesome as always. Afterwards, we stayed a bit to sign some autographs and take pictures. It was a crazy night and we were all exhausted. We came back at our hotel and all the lads basically fell on their beds.
Suddenly, a really happy Simon barged in our room with a huge grin on his face. Louis groaned and covered his face with his pillow.
"Please, Simon, we're tired. And every time you have that grin on your face is because you're about to make us suffer. So please, I beg of you, let us sleep before telling us whatever you have to tell." He moaned in the pillow.
"I have to agree with Lou on this one..." Zayn said. "I am dead."
"Same here, lad." Niall groaned.
"Couldn't have said it better myself." Liam added.I was too tired to say anything, so I just waved with my hand.
"Fine, if you don't want to hear any great news about a certain young YouTuber..." Simon said, shrugging and leaving the room.
"Wait, you mean Hazel Murray?" Niall asked.I popped on my elbows, suddenly really attentive.
"Yes." Simon said, obviously proud of himself. "I made a deal with her."
"You did?" Liam asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes." Simon laughed. "Looks like I found you an opening act for the rest of the Tour, boys."
"WHAT?" The five of us screamed.Simon chuckled, clearly pleased by his surprise.
"Yes. Hazel Murray accepted a contract. As soon as she finishes school, which will be this Friday, she will be joining us for the rest of the summer, and maybe in fall too, if she doesn't leave for college."
"But she haven't even practice with us..." Zayn said.
"Don't worry..." Simon winked at us. "I've got it all covered."MEDIA PICTURE: HARRY STYLES AS HARRY
