Act 1. Chapter 1: The Mystery of the Tea Party
Le Quattro Stagioni ( Winter: II Largo) by A. Vivaldi
Sweet young master, bright and smiley, starts his day with a sugary cup of tea. He had found the joy of his morning cup in the front porch balcony, and thereafter asked his faithful old butler, Mr. Noah Goldie, to set the table there to be.
After the first warm sip, a tiny bear, a size of four cans of soup stacked together, adorably fumbles itself towards the yard; rolling here, rolling there, jutting and stumbling over. The bear resembles the stuffed toys his father sends from England, and so his mind immediately loved the little toy-like animal.
"Would you like to have tea with me, Little Bear?" The young master called, clapping his hands together in amusement.
The sweet young master, dressed in the brightest pastel colors, had attracted the little bear. Then so, this little creature proceeded on rolling here, rolling there, jutting and stumbling over, until it reaches the young master's tea table.
The little bear tried to copy the young master's actions, picking up the little cup with his little hands, and snatching biscuits from the tray. However, what the bear had little to no control over is what the Butler has to say:
"Young Master, shouldn't you be at school by this hour?"
"Oh dear!"
The young master stood up from his seat, forgetting about the little bear. The butler shooed it away and noticed the animalistic growl, though he hardly ever cared. The creature ran to the forest using all its four little paws, rejoining the circle of happy little frogs and happy little fauns. Oh, there are the shiny afterglows of happy little fairies over there, but Noah Goldie is a man who hardly ever cared.
Sweet young master is a bright boy in his late teens. Though a bit mature, puberty blessed him so sparingly as he walks with short limbs. It's alright, mum and dad, he once said, I'll grow up when the time is right. But his mum and dad never cared about little master's appearance. He is alive and loved, evident with how they buy all his needs and wants.
Young master's life is perfect and that is what he has to see, and so he matches his day with a hum of Le Quattro Stagioni: Winter, second movement by Antonio Vivaldi.
He hums along, he skips some steps, and as the dry pavement goes, it vanishes to a road subtly wet. Without his knowledge, the way darkens. The sky blackens. The wind blew.
His pastels changed. His smile left. He's become someone most people knew.
His name is Colin Meyers. The town pothead.
He's going to school. Singing an unknown song stuck in his head.
