Panting heavily, I forced myself to run with all my strength. Sweat trickled down the sides of my face, and my hands grew cold. My heart raced faster than my footsteps, and I felt like my head might explode.
Glancing back, I saw the three monsters pursuing me, darting from tree to tree with lightning speed.
