Chapter 39

Jimin's POV

Everything is dark wherever my eyes and feet touches, not a single light to guide my way.

It's cold, it's scary... jungkook.

Right, he isn't here beside me anymore, won't hold my hands, won't call my name, won't see me again.

I'm all alone...

He has been walking and walking until something bright caught his eyes, it's a door.

Without thinking, I slowly approach and opens the door meeting with an empty room, or so he thought.

Because the moment I turned around, I saw him.

It was jungkook.

He was sitting down on the bed by himself, staring on an empty space.

Jimin went close to see jungkook's empty eyes, filled with nothing but blankness.

Suddenly, as if turning on another page, the scene changes. The empty dark and gloomy room became the vast ocean, so bright and clear.

What caught my eyes though are the two pair standing on the sand, holding hands and smiling happily at eachother.

One tall with black hair and has the most familiar bunny smile, other one is shorter with blonde hair–

Isn't... that me??

"You know what? The moment you came in my life, everything became so bright and warm. You're like my sunshine."

"Me too kookie... Staying with you like this made me so happy."

With hand clasped on his mouth, jimin walk closer to the two to see jungkook and another him.

Then, this must be Park Jimin right? The one who owns jungkook's heart.

The two before him hugged eachother tightly as if in any moment now, fate will break them apart.

"I love you kookie."

"i love you too jimin. Promise to never leave my side okay?"

"I promise i won't kookie, don't worry."

Jimin's heart has never been in so much pain, it's too broken beyond repair, too fragile. He can only stare helplessly, standing close and yet so far away.

Can only watch the one he love embrace someone else.

Jungkook's POV

The scene changes again, it was inside a very dark room but what caught my attention is the person tied up on the bed, struggling to move.

It was me.

"Jungkook! Calm down!"

"No, jin hyung please let me go! Jimin, jimin!! Don't take him away please i beg you!"

"He needs to go jungkook, he isn't gonna do good to you!"

"Please!! PLEASE HYUNG!"

Jungkook grasps his chest, the pain in this very moment, he remembers it all, completely engraved in his memory.

Seokjin hurriedly takes something from his pocket and injects it on jungkook who little by little is starting to lose his conciousness.

There was then a knock on the door as seokjin went to open it to be shock instead to see jimin there.

"P-please, i wanna see him for the last time."

"But jimin–"

"Master jungmin and yoongi approved for me to see. I will leave when I'm done, please let me see him."

Seokjin sighs in defeat, giving space for jimin to enter as the blonde hurriedly approaches the robot on the bed who seems to be trying to fight not falling asleep.

The sight of jungkook tied unto the bed vulnerably with no power at all made jimin broke down in tears.

He was the reason why jungkook is in this state, he was never meant to be made, shouldn't exist in the first place.

Jimin sits down close to jungkook caressing his face softly.

"J-jimin? Is that y-you?" jungkook asks, trying to pry is eyes open.

"Mhm... I'm here kookie." jimin answers, taking the straps off jungkook's arms and body.

Seokjin didn't mind, jungkook was too weak to fight or go berserk. He quietly went out the room leaving the two alone by themselves.

"J-jimin... Don't leave me please, you promised to stay didn't you?"

Tears came out jimin's eyes as small droplets fell down his face.

"Mhmm, i w-won't leave kookie."

if lying could stop all the pain in kookie's heart, then I won't hesitate to tell more.

"Kookie, will you promise to remember me forever?"

"I won't promise... Because you're the only one who occupies my mind and heart jimin. My world, my happiness."

Jungkook's hand reaches out to jimin wiping the tears away.

"Why is my beloved crying? Who made you cry mhm?"

"Kookie... *sobs* f-forgive me." Jimin opens jungkook's hand putting an item inside... It was a gear ring.

For no reason, jungkook's couldn't help the tears to escape as the drug jin injected him is now taking effect.

Jimin takes jungkook's hand kissing the back gently as he watches the one he love losing conciousness. "Shhh, close your eyes, don't cry anymore."

"Jimin... Jimin... I love you." these where jungkook's finally words.

Jimin's POV

"I love you too, kookie."

My legs could no longer hold on as i fall down, grasping my chest tightly wailing in agony.

Why must fate be so unfair? What did they do to suffer? What did jungkook do for the whole universe to despise him? To take the only person he loves away??

Whyy??? why???

Someone please, get me out of here. My heart can't take it anymore.

It hurts, hurts.

"I'll always be here waiting for you jimin. I love you, i miss you, I wanna see those beautiful eyes, to have you in my arms again. Jimin...jimin stay with me like you promised me."

Jimin covers his ears crouching down, forming into a ball. "Stop expecting so much, you aren't who jungkook is calling for. I'm not–n-not the one who he loves."

He chants again and again in his mind when suddenly, a radiant light from above made jimin unable to open his eyes from too much brightness.

Either way, he has no plan to open his eyes if what he will see is another painful scene.

It's better for him to stay in darkness, be alone than to be in the light and meet with a heartbreak.

"Jimin, my love. Wake up now, for me."
