Chapter 40

"Jimin, my love. Wake up now, for me." Jungkook chants again and again, holding close jimin's hand to his lips, yearning for his lover to come back.

A month has passed already since he has been asleep, or in a robot's language, had a system lockdown.

When he woke up, he was surprised to see jimin beside him, sleeping peacefully.

All the memories he lost has returned, the answers he was looking for all this time has finally been solved.

And jimin... jimin still hasn't wake up yet after a month. a week has passed already.

The one he loves, who holds his heart– all this time, it has been beside him all along and he was blind to not see, to not feel those emotions from jimin.

But I've waited enough and all i want is for jimin to open his eyes. After what happened in the past, i won't allow it to repeat like last time.

Today onward, i want to be the one who will protect jimin, to be his shield, to be someone he could lean on.

"That's why, jimin. I want you to wake up. I miss you so much i couldn't even breathe from how much my heart is in pain from being away from you for so long."

Jungkook snaps out this thoughts hearing the door behind open.

"He isn't awake yet?" Jungkook shook his head, seokjin sighs walking closer and pats him on the shoulder.

"There is always a right time jungkook, you should rest."

"No hyung, i want to be here the moment jimin wakes up. I'm afraid i would lose him again if i don't keep my eyes on him."

"Listen to me jungkook." seokjin sat down on a chair, continues "We won't take him away from you anymore. Jungmin gave me jimin's memory chip and i got it program in his system for him to also remember and from what i recall, jimin loves you too much to leave you. So don't worry about it and rest. Jimin will feel really sad seeing you all worn out and exhausted won't he?"

Jungkook glance at his lover, giving a smile. Indeed, jimin will start scolding when he sees me like this. I can't have him worry.

"Mhm, you're right hyung. I better wash up and make myself presentation for him so when he wakes up, my handsome face will be the first thing he sees."

Seokjin laughs, "I might have been rubbing my high confidence unto you huh?"

"Pff– what do you mean by that? I am always confident with my handsome look. I'm not sure about you though."

"You–" Seokjin huffs, glaring at jungkook angrily but at the same time, relief.

The real jungkook is back.

"C'mon now, jungmin and yoon are both waiting outside."

"I will, wait for a bit."

Jungkook leans to jimin giving the blonde a short loving kiss on the forehead.

"I'll come back for you jimin. Wait for me."

The two walks out the door as the room became quiet again but what jungkook didn't expect after returning  is to only found an empty bed.

Jimin is gone!!

Jungkook panicks, "jimin! where are you?!" he hurriedly run back outside the house.

Seeing his panicked face, the three adults approaches jungkook.

Yoongi, "jungkook, what's wrong?"

Jungkook, "hyung, j-jimin he-"

Seokjin, "why? did something happen?" he was about to go ran down the basement where jimin's room is only for jungkook to stop him shaking his head.

"J-jimin isn't there, h-he's gone. H-hyung what should i do?"

Seokjin and yoongi glanced at eachother, jungmin talks instead saying, "Jimin must be close, he couldn't have gone too far. Jungkook, is there a place you two specifically know from your memories? There is a possibility jimin is going to that place if I'm not mistaken."

Jungkook closes his eyes, thinking deeply, going through his recent memories. A place where jimin and him only knows?

Right! It's that place!

"I know a place, can i trouble seokjin hyung to take me there?" Seokjin nods taking his key as jungkook buckles in the car, the two driving off to the place.

God please i hope I'm not too late. Jimin... Don't you dare leave me again, I won't let you, not this time.

Wait for me.

[Sea wave sound]

Jimin silently watch the waves coming in and out the white sand, a series of push and pull. The sun hanging between the sky and sea, a beautiful orange hue, it is where the sun begins to set.

Followed by his love for jungkook.

His feelings, just like the sunset, will also end.

He will let go, he will forget, and lastly to forever be lost, never to be seen again.

Jimin slowly walks towards the sea, the cold breeze blowing his blonde hair along. It's better this way, with me gone, everything will be back to normal.

No one needs me here, the one i love doesn't need me–

"Jimin!" A voice called out from afar.
