Alright, let's start the story
I promise it won't get too gorey
So let's just begin, I'll tell you the day I first learned to sin
It was a sunny day
Or maybe it was cloudy and rained
Either way I walked down a sidewalk that day
I heard a grunt and a crash
When I turned my hearing went bad
I saw an old man on the floor reaching for something he couldn't control.
He reached for his cane
But it was just too far away
That's when I heard it on my right
A voice so small but it sounded so bright
"Help him up" it said "Give him his cane" it said
But before I could move a voice on my left stopped me
"Pick up the cane" it rasped "Break it and run" it rasped
The voice on the right gasped and stopped me with one single word
It said
"Don't!" I paused for a while, contemplating my choices
Before I could move the old man spoke up
"Please, won't you help me?" He looked up but I just felt empty
I gave him his cane and before he could thank me I parted with one little phrase
I said
"Next time, don't trust someone else. We've all got a right and a left."
I turned to look him in the eye but to my surprise
No one was there
We've all got a right and a left...
