Deceived By The Devil

Deceived By The Devil,
What a beautiful nightmare,
You say you'll move on,
But your feelings are right there,
Your mind's about to break,
Your heart already aches,
There's no one around for you to be fake.

Fake your happiness,
Fake your smiles.
No one wants to see what's really worth while.
You're breaking down in pain,
They only say a name.
Few words of pity.
It's really such a shame.

You think it's alright,
You think it's passed.
But the night never sleeps,
And you're always stressed.
You jump at sounds familiar to the ear,
They say, "What's wrong?"
But you know they won't hear.

Your voice is drowned out.
Your mind is away.
No place is safe.
And you can't get away.
You apologize for everything,
But you've done nothing wrong.
All you can do,
Is sing yourself a song.

But what good is a song when you're crying your tears?
What good is a smile when you can't escape your fears?
What good is sympathy when you know they don't understand?
What good is your love, when no one wants to hold you hand?
