Pranks and Kisses

Chapter 7

Once I got to my dormitory, I plopped on my bed thinking about what had just happened. 'I kissed Fred Weasley,' I thought. 'I kissed Fred Weasley! Wow. That's insane.' I laughed at that. Right then, Lilly came in and went up to her bed. Apparently she didn't see me, so I decided to creep up behind her, and scare her. She let out a loud scream that really hurt my ears.
"Amber!" she yelled. "Why would you do that!" I laughed.
"Sorry Lilly, I thought it would be funny."
"Well, it's not, so please don't do it again."
"Alright, I won't," I said, still laughing. I went back to my bed, and plopped my head on my pillow. "We kissed," I mumbled.
"What?" Asked Lilly.
"We kissed," I said louder.
"You did what?"
"We kissed, Lilly! How many times do you need to hear that!"
"Sorry, I was curious!" Lilly yelled.
"Sorry I yelled," I said calmly.
"It's alright. Now, tell me what happened." So I told her every detail about what happened. When I was done, she said, "Well, aren't you lucky."
"For what?" I asked.
"For kissing Fred Weasley!"
"Oh yeah. I'm hungry." And with that we went down to dinner. We decided to sit at the Griffindor table, so I could tell our friends what happened. When Ginny found out that we kissed, she looked at me straight in the eye, and said,
"So. You kissed my brother." I opened my mouth, but she kept talking, "That's what I thought. Now, do me a favor, and don't kiss him anymore." She laughed, "Who am I kidding, do whatever you want, I really don't care." I made a sigh of relief, and I said,
"I got a little worried there, because I thought you would get mad at me." We all laughed, talked, and ate together. When Ginny was done, she said that she was going to go say good night to Luna, then study. I decided that I wanted to study too, so I left the table and went to the common room. I got out my school books, and decided to do my essay for MgGonagall on animagi due Wednesday. An hour passed, and I still wasn't done. I kept thinking about what happened earlier today with Fred. 'Was it a dare or something?' I thought. 'No. He kissed me! He was being all cute and everything! But still...' "No. I refuse to believe it," I said out loud to myself. I tend to talk to myself a lot. "He wouldn't have done what he did if he didn't like me. Just stop thinking about it, and finish this essay, Amber." So I stopped thinking about it and finally finished the essay. Then I decided to do my essay for Moody, on ghosts and inferi. When I was nearly halfway done, I thought 'I want to write to mum and dad.' I then got out a piece of parchment and started writing. Right when I started, my cat, Ninja, climbed into my lap and started purring. "Why hello Ninja," I said. "I'm writing to mum and dad." He meowed at me because he wanted to be pet. When I finished my letter, I picked him up from my lap, and got up to go to the owlrey. Right as I opened the door, someone grabbed my hand, turned me around, and before I could see who it was, kissed me. I immediately pulled away. "Diggory?" I asked.
"That's me," he said.
"Diggory, we broke up a year ago, you're kissing me now?"
"The truth is Amber-" I cut him off,
"Don't call me Amber anymore, Diggory."
"Fine. The truth is, I never stopped loving you, and I couldn't stand it anymore, so I kissed you."
"Wow. Diggory, you kissed Cho Chang behind my back. I like someone else, and they kissed me-" now he cut me off,
"Did you kiss them back?" I smiled and sighed,
"Yes I did, now please don't talk to me anymore Diggory." I didn't feel bad about being mean to him, because he did kiss Cho Chang behind my back. When I got to the owlrey, I heard a "meow," so I looked around, and it turned out that Ninja had been following me the whole time. I laughed, "Isn't it funny that Diggory kissed me?" He meowed again, "I know right!" I got one of the owls, and tied the letter to her leg. She then turned to the window, spread her beautiful wings, and flew to mum and dad's house. I picked up Ninja, closed my eyes, took a breath, and said, "Wow. What a beautiful evening."

A/n:
Sorry I haven't been posting in a while. I had a lot of school work to do this week, and I mean a LOT. But I'm done now, so i'm able to write more thankfully. 😅 I'll need to make a better writing schedule like Monday and Friday or smth like that. Each chapter takes like idk 5-7 hours, if I don't eat, or do anything but write. So yea I'll be able to write more now. Btw, Ninja is named after my cat that passed away a few years ago.
