"Shhh, Belle it's okay." I say trying to calm Bella down so I can get her dressed for the bonfire. Tim is picking up his suit from the dry cleaning.

"Nana will be here soon." My mother was coming to take care of Bella so me and Tim can have some alone time.

It's probably because she doesn't want to have to see my dad's new girlfriend, Georgie, alone.

My parents got divorced three years ago, they just lost feelings for each other.

Knowing Tim though, I'll probably just be hanging out with Heather and Marissa my best friends all night while Tim is talking to his work freinds about deals.

But it's fine Tim is just prideful about his work, I can't get mad at him for that.

"Knock Knock! The best Nana in the world has arrived!" My mother calls from downstairs, opening the front door.

"Were up here!" I yell from Bella's room.

In a matter of seconds my mom was bursting open Bella's room door. How she got up the stairs that fast is beyond me.

"Hey Sugarplum." My mom kissed me on the cheek then turned to Bella. "And how is my favorite granddaughter?"

Bella had stopped crying by now and just giggled at my mom.

"Doll!" Bella exclaims to my mom. My mother looks at me confused.

"It's her new favorite word, she learned it three days ago. Now everything's a doll!" I explain to my mom.

Bella can say five words clearly mama, dada, sun, nappy, and doll.

"That's amazing baba! Come see!" My mom takes Bella out of my arms. My mom has called Bella her baba since she was a week old.

"Is Harriet coming?" Harriet is Tim's mom. She doesn't like me very much. Or my mother.

Apparently back in the day Harriet stole my mom's highschool boyfriend that she had been with for 4 years.

My mom was queen bee and Harriet was jealous then one thing lead to another. You get it.

"No she has the flu." Three days ago Harriet called Tim and told him she had come down with the flu. And that he should come see her.

Of course he said no because of Bella's safety so she's not talking to him right now.

"Ha. Servers her right." My mom was never one to hold a grudge but she knew Harriet was a bitch. I did not say that. (Even though it's true.) "Are you excited to see Marissa dear!?" I nod at my mother quite quickly with a smile on my face.

Last year at the bonfire Marissa was found someone's mate. The rest of the night she wasn't allowed to be three feet away from him to talk to us. We even had to break up with her three year long boyfriend Corey for her.

Lucas. I'll never forget the devil that took away my best friend. She calls us and facetimes us tells us how she's doing. We do the same but we haven't seen her in a year. We miss her.

Also the fact that she's lonely, she's always had a hard time making friends. And Lucas's sister doesn't like her very much.

Lucas is always away on pack business. But he's not cheating on her because then her mark would burn, she told us that to.

I'm not sure if she loves him. He loves her because she's his mate but, Marissa's human the mate bond does affect her but not as much as Lucas's does him. If she did we wouldn't judge her but I know Marissa.
