Chapter 10

Cheryl's pov:

Today is Sam's first basketball game of the season and he's really excited but also stressed.

"Mom have you seen my basketball bag?!" Sam yelled from upstairs.

"No sorry honey" I yelled back up to him.

"I'll help him babe" Toni's said, kissing me on the cheek before she went upstairs to help Sam.

I went back to making Sam's snack when Ruby came up to me, tapping my arm.

"What's up sweetie?"

"Can we bring Turbo to the game mommy?" She asked, using her puppy dog eyes on me.

"Fine but your holding him" I said sternly.

"Okay!" She skipped off.

"Okay I think we're all set" Toni said, coming downstairs with Sam behind her.

"Alright let's head out then"

Woohoo, go Sam!" I yelled from the bleachers.

Sam was so passionate about basketball. I knew that when he grows up he'll still be playing.

He had the ball and just as he was about to make his second basket, a player from the other team pushed him over causing him to fall to the ground on his left arm.

"Oh my gosh!" I gasped.

Toni ran down the bleachers and over to him, Ruby and I not too far behind her.

"Sam are you okay buddy" Toni asked, worried.

"Ow, momma it hurts" he cried out.

"Okay let's go to the hospital and get it checked out" I said.

Toni picked him up and carried him out the gym.

Toni's pov:

We were now in the waiting room waiting for the doctor to call us in. I looked over at Ruby to see her quietly crying and holding onto Turbo tightly.

"What's wrong babes?" I asked concerned.

She sniffled and asked "I-Is Sam gonna b-be okay momma?" She was now crying into my side.

I couldn't blame her. Sam is her twin of course she's scared for him.

"He'll be just fine princess, I promise" I said, kissing her forehead. She just nodded her head.

"Samuel Blossom?" We heard the doctor call out.

The three of us got up and walked over to the doctor.

"That's our son" cher said to the doctor.

I loved when she called him my son as well.

"So he does in fact have a broken arm. He'll be in a cast for about three weeks" he sighed.

"Okay can we see him now?" I asked.

"Of course, right this way" he said , leading us to his room.

When we walked in he was sitting up on the bed looking down at his cast.

"Hey dude" I said, sitting down on the bed next to him.

"Hey" he sighed.

"Hey it'll get better. Those three weeks are going to be over before you know it" I smiled.

"Yeah I guess" he said, still sad about his current situation.

I wanted to see that bright smile again so I started tickling the life out of him.

"M-momma st-op!" He said laughing through every word.

I stopped and her looked up smiling at me. Ruby got up on the bed and cuddled between Sam and I. I looked up to see Cheryl smiling at us. I motioned for her to lay with us. She layed down on the other side of sam, cuddling into him.

This is the moment I realized how much I loved this family, my family. I wanted the kids to officially be mine. So that's exactly what I'm going to make happen.
