Chapter 13

Cheryl's pov:

"Oh my gosh Cheryl! It's been so long how are you?!" Heather asked me as she hugged the life out of me.

"I'm great actually. What about you?"

"Absolutely wonderful! What are you doing here?"

"Uh, I'm actually here on a vacation trip with my kids... And girlfriend. What about you?"

I seen the way her face dropped, then she plastered a fake smile on. I could tell it was fake because back in high school when we were together, she was an expert at fake smiles.

"That sounds fun. And to answer your question I live here, but I'm also here at disney with a few friends"

"Cool"

It was just awkward from there. I mean, what are you supposed to say to your high school ex that stated they never even liked you before they leave the state?

"Cher babe! Look Ruby's doing it!" I looked back to the pool to see my little girl swimming on her own, Toni and Sam staying by her side. The site instantly made my heart melt.

I walked over to the pool, leaving Heather behind me.

"Good job baby! Your doing it!" I said excitedly, causing Ruby to giggle.

Toni then swam back over to me and lifted herself to sit on the side of the pool. I bent down beside her.

"Thank you so much Toni. I love you so much" I sighed happily.

"I love you too Cher" I kissed her soft lips, forgetting about Heather.

When we pulled away Toni looked behind us and at Heather.

"Who's that?" I looked back to see who she was talking about.

"Oh her? She's just a high school friend" I smiled at Toni who had a very sceptical look on her face so I pecked her lips again and said "don't worry baby"

I got up and walked back over to Heather and got back to talking.

Toni's pov:

When I saw cher and the Heather girl talking, I immediately got jealous. I knew there had to be some kind of history behind their "friendship".

After swimming with the kids some more, cher called me back over to the edge of the pool.

"Hey this might sound weird, but Heather invited me to much tomorrow.. you know, to catch up. It's okay if you don't want me going I definitely don't have too"

I knew this was going to hurt to say, but I trust Cheryl.

"No go, go catch up. The kids and I will be fine" I smiled. Fake smiled of course.

"Oh thank you so much TT!" She said, kissing my cheek before running back over to HeAtHeR.

I just hope I didn't make a mistake by say I was fine with it..

"Momma?" Ruby asked me as we sat in the sand at 'Santa Monica Beach'.

"Yeah babygirl?" I said as I looked out beyond the ocean.

Sam was sitting right beside us building a sand castle.

"Where did mommy have to go?"

"Oh she went somewhere with a friend" I smiled down at her.

"Oh. She'll be back though, right"

"Of course"

"Okay" she lied her head back down on my shoulder, hugging my arm.

She'll be back.. and everything will be fine.

It's now 9:30pm and the kids are asleep. We got back to the hotel about four hours ago. Cheryl texted me saying she'd be home a little later then planned. I just didn't know she meant THIS late.

I'm currently reading a book in our room with the lamp on, waiting for Cheryl to get back, but I don't think I can wait any longer. I got up and walked out of the room and into the kids room to find Ruby sitting up in her bed, cuddling her stuffed animal.

"What's wrong babes?" I Whisperd as I sat in front of her.

"I can't sleep"

"Okay well, do you want me to lay with you? I can't sleep either" I said honestly.

She just nodded and scooted over to make room for me. As soon as I lied down she cuddled into my side with her little head on my chest and I instantly fell asleep.

Cheryl's pov:

When I walked into the hotel room it was very quiet, which was pretty expected because it was late. I had an amazing night out with Heather, but I still couldn't wait to get back to Toni and the kids.

When I walked into Toni and i's shared room, I seen she wasn't there which confused me. A lot. I went to the bathroom to check if she was there, but still no sign of her. I finally went to the kids room and saw Ruby and Toni cuddled up together. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I sighed before walking back to my room.

I just hope TT's not upset with me..
