Beck was sitting on the couch flicking through the channels when Jade walked through the door. She dropped her purse by the couch and sat down beside him resting her head on his shoulder. "Did you have fun?"
"It was okay. This all you did all day?"
Beck shook his head. "No, I went out with Freddie for a couple hours."
"Did you have fun?"
"It was okay. This girl thought-"
Jade quickly sat up. "What girl? You and Freddie were out meeting girls?!"
Beck sighed. "No, we were at the store and the clerk was a girl. She thought-"
"Was she cute?!" Jade snapped.
"Kinda." Beck shrugged.
"Oh." Jade huffed. "So you and Freddie just go flirt with cute girls in the store while Sam and I are out, huh?!"
"I didn't say we were flirting."
"You said she was cute!"
Beck shrugged. "So? She was kinda cute. You're very pretty. What is the problem? You asked what I thought of her and I answered." He sighed. "Jade, I don't want to fight. I just want to tell you about my day." He stated.
Jade scoffed. "Oh sure, tell me about your day with this really cute girl!"
"I said kinda cute!" Beck snapped, then he rolled his eyes. "Anyway, so this girl thought that Freddie and I-"
"This cute girl. Don't forgot that part!"
"This cute girl-" Beck smirked. "- at the store today thought that Freddie and I were a couple." He paused when Jade started laughing obnoxiously. "Yeah yeah, laugh it up." He chuckled.
"Why would she think that? What the hell were you two doing in the store?"
"We were just out looking for rings." Beck shrugged. "I guess two guys can't look for engagement rings together without it seeming like they're in a relationship." He chuckled.
Jade scoffed. "Most of the time two guys looking for engagement rings together are in a relationship." She stated the obvious then scoffed again.
Beck just shrugged again. "Or they could both be looking for engagement rings for their girlfriends together."
Jade pursed her lip, raised her brow, then scoffed again. "Like you and Freddie are gonna propose to me and Sam." She rolled her eyes. "Are you?"
Beck smirked. "Wanna see your ring?"
Jade froze, then she smirked. "Maybe."
Beck pulled the receipt out of his pocket. "But first, so you know I didn't cheap out on you. Here's the receipt."
Jade yanked the paper from his hands and her eyes went wide. "Six- Six thousand dollars?!" She gasped. "Beck! You can't afford 6,000 dollars!"
Beck shrugged. "You don't think you're worth it?" He smiled.
Jade blew out a breath that sounded like another scoff. "6,000 dollars?! Wait, you don't make that much!"
Beck smirked. "I have my ways."
Jade turned to him with an angry frown on her face. "If you make 6,000 then why do we live in this craphole?! The faucet drips all night and the stupid landlord refuses to fix it!"
"It doesn't bother me."
"Well it bothers me! Every night! I just wanna rip it right out the sink!"
