"Waaaaaaah!"
Feurety blinked in surprise, hearing the piercing cry of a little girl reach her ears as she stopped in the middle of the dirt road that she was travelling. The flame-haired woman looked forward as she noticed a group of bandits taunting what appeared to be a child giant, her brown hair falling to her shoulders and small fists covering her face as stones were thrown at her, and Feurety sprinted forward quickly.
"Hey! Get away from her!"
The group of five men turned to look at her, and some smirked wickedly as others laughed. "And what does it matter to you?" One taunted, and Feurety glared fiercely as she stopped a few feet away with a hand reaching towards the bow slung over her shoulders. "That is no way to treat a little girl. Now, leave her alone." Feurety stated firmly, and he only sneered.
"Or what?"
"Or I'll just have to kill you." She replied calmly, before quickly slinging an arrow to her bow and aiming it between his eyes. "Leave. I won't say it again." Feurety's emerald eyes flashed a deep purple for a moment, the tip of her arrow bursting into black flames as they all shrunk back in horror, the giant girl even blinking in surprise as she gasped.
"I-it's a monster!" The bandits all took off, and Feurety only kissed her teeth lightly as she lowered her bow. "I wonder who is the true monster...man or demons?" She murmured to herself, before looking up at the small giant. "Are you alright?" The girl flinched with a whimper as she took a step closer, and Feurety smiled gently.
"I won't hurt you, sweetie. What's your name?"
"D-Diane." The child blinked owlishly at her with amethyst eyes as she slowly lowered her hands that shielded her face, and Feurety smiled encouragingly. "That's a lovely name. A pretty name, for a pretty girl." Diane flushed at the compliment, and all but forgot her weariness as she smiled widely. "What's your name, miss?"
"Mine? My name is Feurety. You can call me, Feur."
