[Eugeo POV]

We arrived home, and as soon as I shut the door Kirito flopped down on the sofa, still a bit full from the glorious meal we both had. Kirito looked at the PS5 under the TV and decided to play some first person shooters, which he had a great interest. He'd always been asking me to play with him too, which also made me enjoy this genre of game. However, I preferred horror games, and sometime rhythm games.

Last Halloween I forced Kirito to play a horror game I made myself using the AmuSphere, and he'd only accepted it because he was sort of in the mood to. That day was the best of my life since I'd become friends with Kirito.

[Flashback to that day, Eugeo POV]

"Eugeo... I don't like this..." Kirito complained, nervous. He didn't know that I was actually the final jumpscare, and I acted as if I was helping him get through it and spoke to him through an earpiece, while in reality he was getting closer and closer to me. It was pitch black, he was in an abandoned mine and the only thing he was armed with was a small knife and a torch which was soon to run out. It was the most cliché situation you could ever find yourself in, but from what I'm getting Kirito still hated it. I spoke to him in a calm voice.

"Kirito, you're almost at the end. Don't be scared though, it seems that there is nothing to fight."

"Uhh, s-so... can I run out...?" he tentatively whispered.

"Just get out of there, Eugeo. I promise there isn't anything to get past. Just don't be too loud or else you'll wake something up." There actually wasn't anything in there apart from him and me, and I laughed silently and mockingly at how immensely terrified he was. This was not something you'd see from the Black Knight, definitely.

"Uh... ok then..." Kirito said. He started walking forward until he could see the warmth and safety natural light. He paced faster and faster, getting less scared. Instead of reaching the beautiful natural landscape, he was met with a wall that emitted white light. It was so hard to fall for, yet he fell for it. Kirito stepped back, bewildered.

"Eugeo? What is this?" I didn't answer. "Eugeo, are you there? EUGEO!" I stifled really hard laughter.

"K-Kirito...?" I sounded really tired and fatigued, and also in pain.

"Eugeo! Are you OK?" Kirito asked me, concerned.

"Kirito... s... save..." The next thing he heard was a painful stab.

"AAAAAARGHHH!" I screamed, before another stab and then static.

[Kirito POV]

I knew none of this was actually real, but it really sounded like Eugeo got killed. He should be awake by now if that's the case. But what am I going to do? I really wanted to complete this though, and started thinking of a plan before the light went out. I didn't want to be seen as a wimp to Eugeo. If anything, he's the person that's more likely to get scared than me. I turned around with a loud gasp, then tried turning on my torch to find that it was out of battery. I just stood there for a few seconds in shock.

"H-hey, Eugeo, you better not be fucking with me! I know you're there! Just come out with your monsters or something!" Even though I knew I wouldn't get an answer, I shouted back into the cave, which now looked like an empty abyss. I was only barely able to see due to my eyes slowly getting used to the now completely black space. I crept in, knowing the worst was about to come. Eventually I heard something, not a monster or a creature but a human. A familiar human. I paused, thinking about my actions. No, I had to see who this was. It sounds like someone I know. Each step I took forward made it easier for me to figure out who this was. It was a soft laugh, a sweet laugh but one that screamed death. My breathing got louder and louder the closer I got. A few steps later and I knew who this was. It was Eugeo.
