A/N: Some touching up is in this chapter, and it isn't from either Eugeo or Kirito.
[The next day. Eugeo POV]
"Kirito...? Kirito, stay with me! KIRITO! ...AAAAGHHH!"
I didn't sleep well last night. I had two nightmares and woke up at 1AM and 4AM, before waking up at 9. I didn't remember the first one, but the second one was something about Kirito dying. I rolled over to the other side of the bed, and he was already gone. I was annoyed, because this time I wanted to cook for him for a change. I had a few things I could cook swirling around in my head last night and I was actually pretty excited.
We need a bigger bed now that we're sleeping together.
I was still sleepy, but walked out of the room, almost tripping over. I rubbed my left eye continuously; it was making my vision slightly blurry. As usual, I heard the sizzling of the pan. My feet were cold, and then I realised I had forgot to put my slippers on; I had got so used to the soft carpet covering the floor in my room. I crept in and out of the room, now with my slippers on, and cautiously stepped down the stairs, almost falling down again. I reached my hand out to hold the door handle, then I heard a scream from Kirito. It scared me a bit, I jumped back then violently opened the door, now fully in my senses after the shock.
"Eugeo?!"
"Kirito, what the hell?!" Something on the pan caught fire, and it was kind of hard to see with all the smoke that began irritating my vision again. He frantically ran to the sink and grabbed a glass, filling it with water.
"Don't do that! It won't mix with the oil and it will get worse!" He yelped at my warning and dropped the glass.
"What do we do?! Agh..." Kirito was in full panic by this point. I sighed with disappointment; if he's been cooking for me this long then how come he doesn't know what to do if things like this happen? I opened a drawer and grabbed an oven glove, putting it on my right hand, then calmly opened the door to the garden and tipped the burning object and the boiling oil over to the nearest drain. Kirito watched me from the door, opening it as wide as it can go to let all the smoke out, still scared. With all the oil now in the drain, I went back inside, filled the glass which Kirito had dropped in the sink with water, came back outside and poured it on the burning thing, putting the flame out."Baka Kirito," I said to him, making an annoyed face. He blushed in embarrassment; I wasn't really angry at him but I was surprised that he didn't know what to do.
"You know what, let's just have cereal for today," I told him, putting my hand on his shoulder for a second before going to the cupboards, trying to remember which one the cereal was in. I hadn't had cereal in two weeks, and it's probably been a whole month since Kirito touched it. Just as I had grabbed the box, Kirito hugged me from behind apologetically. I froze for a short moment, then let go of his embrace and ruffled his hair.
"What I'm annoyed at is the fact that you were so panicked when it happened. You didn't know what to do, did you? Do you even know that putting water on boiling oil won't help?" I rolled my eyes and got a red bowl. It was getting cold already since we kept the door open to let the smoke out. Kirito stuttered for words for a few seconds.
"Ok fine, I didn't know. Sorry..."
"You should have known what to do if stuff like this happens before you even started cooking for me in the first place, baka..." He kept following me around the kitchen whilst I was getting my spoon and milk, trying to defend himself but only blurting out stammers and stutters. In the end he gave up and sighed, thanking me for not losing my cool this early in the morning and sharing the cereal box with me.[Time skip 2 hours]
All of us met up at Agil's café again, not to have a sort of celebration but to have a talk for a few hours while we agree on the new opening times. Most of us had decided to take a break from VR for a bit. While we were entering the café, Sugu turned up in Kirito's parents' car and got out, hugging Kirito on the leg again. I noticed his mum had gave him a sweet smile but his dad made no facial expressions and didn't even look at Kirito, he dropped Sugu off and left. When they got going I kept my eyes on him, and saw that Kirito's mum quickly changed emotion, and looked pretty angry at his dad. Kirito himself didn't notice as he was trying to get Sugu off him, but I didn't tell him as he would just get more worried, and I didn't want to worry my boyfriend. We came in holding hands, and we were greeted by warm smiles from everyone. Sugu ran to Klein, who seemed tired still. Alice and Silica came up to us and they both saw the hickey on Kirito's neck, which I had already forgot about even though I did it just as we left our house.
