Chapter 3: 2nd Troubles

This part is in Kokichi's POV!

I finally made my way up the steps with Kaito in front of me.

Jeez is he slow.

At least I got the answer I expected from him, if he was telling the truth. Which, I expect he is.

Just friends.

Fine with me, I'd rather keep it that way.

Time for another lie I guess.. In the end..

The truth has never brought out a good villain

That's why we need all of those lies. I simply refuse to let my mask fall, it already had once back there..

There's no way as hell I'm giving up.

"Right, just as I'd expect from you, Momota-Chan!" Am I pushing it? Hmm, maybe. I'm only expecting some sort of answer.. 

I may not have a plan but it'll all go fine!- 

And then I heard his answer..

"What do you mean by that? You actually care to look at me deeper than what everyone else sees?" What?! He took it the wrong way! Idiot. But..

He's being oddly nice to me as well.. Look at him deeper? 

What is he rambling on about?..

This means he has a few lies of his own..

I'm.. Not alone..

"Of course not idiot! Jeez you really took that the wrong way assuming things that just aren't true!" I let out a snicker.

 I have to at least keep my act together. Even if it's just the two of us. Unless someone else was watching in the cameras.

I'm still very suspicious other people might be here, just watching.. All of their eyes on us.

But, talking about it might freak Kaito out again considering the dummy's afraid of ghosts or the fact this place may be haunted. He really doesn't like the occult..

"How many floors do you think there are to this place?" Kaito asked, looking down at me.

Sometimes, him looking at me is really intimidating I must say, it terrifies me.. He's 6 feet tall after all! I'm 11 inches shorter!

"Hmm, I don't know! Maybe we could check out the other floors later! I wanna explore this one! It seems interesting!" 

I wanna see this place and it's entirety. If Kaito's not gonna explore with me, then he can just go..

. . .

Never mind, I need the company I would just lure him into coming with me if he declined anyways! Heehee

"Oh, alright! Fine with me!" He's going along with it? Nice.

All going according to plan.. If I had one.

"Yay! Let's go then spacey!" I really need to count how many nicknames I have for that dummy. Hmm, Momota-Chan, Momo-Chan, Idiot, Dummy, Spacey, Astro-Idiot, AstroNOT, haha that one's funny!

...

Yeah that's a lot.

I started walking with Kaito down the hallway of the 2nd floor. This one was more clean than the first one, just some random medical supplies lying around.. In a trail.

Weird.

"Ooh! Super spooky trail! What could this beee?" I have to act all childish, it always works in the end anyways! Curiosity piques everyone's eyes. And they would all be 

on 

me.

"! Should we follow it?.. It seems to be leading.. Somewhere." No shit Kaito, it leads down the hallway.

Oh if only he knew how hopeless he could be sometimes, well, stating the obvious as usual, I'll give him some credit.

"Yeah, definitely! Good job AstroNOT!" I giggle, ah it was fun to say that one, even if he ever got it or not.

"Thanks Kokichi! Haha!" He was.. Happy? Damn I was even joking and it somehow cheered him up. Whatever. I'll let him keep that win. For now at least..

So, we decided to follow the trail of medical supplies. It didn't seem dangerous.. Seem dangerous to say the least.

"What do you think there's gonna be down there?.." Kaito asked, probably expecting me to have any idea whatsoever.

"Well, whatever's down there is going to be there obviously silly!" Yeah, great job me.. Stating the obvious, like him. He better not be having an affect on me now.

"Haha! I mean, yeah!" He kept laughing, how does one be so positive like him?.. It makes me rather jealous.

Unless, that's a lie as well.. Oh what a shock that would be! The hero himself, not happy at all with himself and only keeping happy for his friends! 

We kept walking down the hallway, it wasn't anything like the last one.. Full of light and hope. Though, some of the lights were broken, like the first floor was more recently built than this one. Oh, Saihara-Chan would love a mystery like this.. Enough talking about him.

"Hmm, this looks a lot better than the last hallway! Less spooky and scary!" I pop up in front of him. "Boo!" A little prank doesn't hurt once in a while, especially to someone scared so easily like him. 

"Why are you tryna scare me?!" Kaito pouted, obivously not amused.

And then..

He screamed, suddenly holding onto me. 

What?.. Does he always just hug the closest person to him whenever he gets scared? I couldn't have scared him that easily..

And I was right, suddenly all of the lights started turning off in front of us, the trail coming to a halt as a door with a broken window. 

"Well, as they say, idiots always go first into the scary room!" I tried to not look as terrified as I actually was, I was a great actor! Everyone says so!

"Huh? H-Hey! You need to let go of me first before entering!" I really think this scary hug is lasting a while now!.. 

Is he even there? Did he freeze?..

"Hello?!" I poked him.

"AH- oh, phew... Sorry I must've spaced out or something" Kaito let out a chuckle.. That idiot, he wasn't even listening! 

I might as well just push him in when I have the chance! 

I was mad as fuck for him just spacing out on me.. But I guess I can't control that.

"So! As I was saying, idiots go in first! Meaning you Astro-boy!" I nudge him to the door.

He's pretty heavy, there wasn't gonna be any way I would be able to push him in.

"Hey! I'm not an idiot, but I'll go in first if you want me to!" Kaito still had that goofy grin on his face, how IS he always so happy?! Then again, I'm being a tad bit hypocritical. I always act happy as well..

 I know I've already asked him that though.. 

There'd be no use in asking again.

He slowly pushed the door open.. The door looked old, a window was cracked, it was also super rusty, you could barely see in.  But what was inside..

It felt like a nightmare.. 

I wanted to get it out of my head..

Side note here!: Sorry about not updating in so long! I'm not that good with Kokichi so please let me know how I did! I'm gonna have the next part hopefully in a day or a couple days! Whenever I can! My daily goal is to have over 1,000 words for each part!
