While Illya was away enjoying the party, winged beings known as Servants were surrounding her family's home. They wore golden armor and sharp golden masks, carrying spears and nets with them. Their wings were white with feathers. While the family was still enjoying the festivities, the Servants snuck into the house, opening doors and windows silently. Laylah wandered away from the family's living room. She went upstairs and opened the door to her room. She saw a Servant standing there. Laylah screamed and the family looked alert. Suddenly, other Servants appeared in the living room, surrounding the family. Lacrim grits his teeth.
"Do not move. Surrender, and no one will be harmed," spoke a servant.
The children screamed. Anastasia looked surprised and looked over at her father.
"Children," Lacrim spoke "Please raise your hands in the air."
The children followed what their father said. Anastasia and Recrim did as well and a Servant brought Laylah downstairs with her hands up. Several servants bring down Re who is asleep and tied up.
"They attacked when they knew Re would be sleeping," said Anastasia.
Skylah started to cry.
"Stop crying!" commanded a Servant.
He lifted the but end of his spear to strike her. Hearing the cries of her child, Re began to awaken. The sun was rising in the middle of the night. Re then fully awoke. She instinctively broke the restraints and grabbed the Servant's spear. Re's eyes were a bright red. Claws then formed in hand and she clawed the Servant across the chest.
"What? Lady Re is awake?" questioned one Servant.
"That's not possible! She should be fast asleep!" exclaimed another.
Re stared them all down.
"If any of you even touch anyone in my family, I will erase your very existence!" yelled Re.
The Servants all step back while Re glares at all of them.
"Sister. How and why are you awake?" spoke a voice.
Re widened her eyes.
"It is my time. To be awake. You are interfering in my realm of influence," said Aurbis.
"Brother? What are you doing here? What do you want with my family?" asked Re.
"Father wants to see you...and his grandchildren."
"Tell him to leave us alone!"
"I am afraid I cannot sister. Also, with your interference in my realm of influence, mother will be quite upset with your behavior."
Re growled and lunged at her sibling. Aurbis stepped to the side. Re slashed at him again and Aurbis grabbed her arm.
"Please sister, do not make me harm you," said Aurbis.
Re only growled and clawed at him again. The two of them conducted battle. Lacrim kept the family close by. He leaned in close to Anastasia.
"Be ready to blast them away with your mana. I will try to get to my office to grab a blade," he whispered.
Anastasia nodded and opened the palm of her hand and a blue orb appeared in her hand.
"Now!" yelled Lacrim.
Anastasia stood up and blasted away a Servant with a blue bolt of mana. She then blasted away another. Lacrim quickly ran to his office. Recrim and Laylah kept their younger siblings close in the chaos. Lacrim then came out of the office with a longsword and stabbed one servant and then killed another.
