Something borrowed,
Something new.
Was once purple,
But now blue. You couldn't recall where you had heard this from or why it was embranded in your brain, cursed to be stuck in loop in your head. You yawned and looked at the time, it was seven AM. You looked around, you appeared to be in parts and service, you stretched and sat up off the mysterious purple lump that lay positioned like a pillow around your back. Looking you saw a faceless large purple animatronic bunny slumped over in the corner.
"Bonnie..?" You asked.
Silence.
"Well that answers that," you rubbed your eyes and stood, stretching your legs you had enough of this foolish childs play. And to think you actually considered it'd respond to you. You tisked at your foolishness and let out another groggy yawn.
You heard the distant tick tock of the clock, the low electronic hum of the soda dispenser and the small pit pat of dripping water from the bathroom. You dragged your feet against the floor, your sneakers making a scruffed sound as you exited the parts and service.
Holding the wall for balance you made your way back to the security office, you were still barely awake as you walked in, making sure everyone was in their place you nodded to yourself, tidied up a bit and waited for Vincent.
Minutes went by and you found yourself dozing off, your head snapped up when you heard the sound that disrupted your efforts to sleep. Checking the cameras you saw everyone was still in their places, Balloon boy with his balloons, The toy animatronics on the stage, Mangle in kids cove, Chica, Freddy, Foxy and--
Bonnie was no where to be seen. The camera rolled across the room, yet Bonnie was not in the corner where he usually was. This worried you. You checked the vents, no Bonnie. You checked the cameras again, yet a nagging feeling told you that you were missing something. Checking the hall you saw Bonnie standing there. Looking, if that was possible in his state, at you.
You were dumbfounded. Your shift was over! They should all be in their places, you should be waiting for Vincent then going home to take care of the evidence you found in the kitchen! Not still trying to outwit some crazy robots that go cahoots at night! You really wanted to rant but you had to keep it together. Grabbing you mask you put it on, and clicked your flashlight a bit. Nothing. Bonnie still stood there. Staring.
You were getting to say the least a not annoyed. Why hadn't he gone away? It works for everyone else but him now? That reminded you, you took off the mask disregarding if the bunny was still lurking within the narrow confines of the passage way or not. Switching the cameras you checked the music box. It hadn't needed to be wind up. This brought you relief as well as even more confusion. If everyone was in place, and the music box need not to be winded, then why was Bonnie in the hall and not in parts and service?
You wanted to call Vincent about this but, he said not to before he came, you always wondered why he repeated that warning, sterner and darker each time.
"Hey Rookie,"
"Yea-"
"Remember, don't call me before I come at eight."
You shuddered at the haunting words and checked the cameras once more. This was puzzzling as well as worrying. You stood, flashlight in hand when you heard a shuffle in the hallway. You shaked in fear, was Bonnie going to hurt you?
If so why now? These questions swirled in your head when he walked closer. No lights flickereing, nothing, he just walked in plain sight closer towards the room.
You saw one third of his right arm was gone and loose crosswires strung out. His left hand, much like Chicas had no animatronic suit hand casing to cover it and an endoskeleton hand lay by his side.
You watched in complete silence as he stood still on front of the desk. You watched as he held out a hand, electronic grunts came from the spacing between where his shoulder started and his arm. You were extremely confused yet curious all the more.
You took his empty metal palm, watching a distant red light deep in the darkness of his cavened head alight. You stepped up and over the desk and observed the tall animatronic. He seemed as if he wasn't a threat so you followed him when he began to leave the room.
You followed him as he snuck past the party/dining hall, sticking to the shadowed parts of the walls, and snuck past the camera near parts and services entrance. He let go of your hand, after a brief moment of watching the animatronic stand there, back faced to you, head low you contemplated on leaving. Vincent would be arriving soon.
You turned to leave, guilt burrowing in you, but what else could you do? You sighed almost inaudibly and started to walk to the door when something gripped you upper arm tughhtly, almost painfully. You couldn't move, fear and confusion froze you in place when yuou heard a faint voice speak with a robotic edge.
"Something borrowed, something new, was once purple, but now blue."
The force on your arm left making you stumble forward. You whipped around to see Bonnie in the corner, slumped, lifeless as usual. You staggered back. Then, ran out the room. You ran to the security room and burrowed beneath the desk. Your nerves on end your eyes bulging in fear.
What was that?! Was that Bonnie!? But-but h-how!?
Suddenly, like an abrupt struck to the face everything fit in place. Something borrowed, Bonnie's lack of a face, something new, Bon Bon, Was once purple, but now blue. It all fit so perfectly. You were suddenly overcome with pity.
You crawled from beneath the desk to see Bonnie sitting with his back against the front of it. You walked around it and sat beside the purple, run down heap of pitiful sadness and you were surprisingly calm, compared to your previous nerve racked, fearful state.
You hugged Bonnie, you hadn't known how truly sad you were for him until tears welled in your eyes. You watched Bonnie's metal hand near your face and ever-so-gently wipe the tears away. The rough metal was warm against your skin and you smiled. You both sat there, listening to the tick tock of the clock, the leaky faucet in the bathroom, the distant him of the soda dispenser and the buzzing of the lights.
Even if he was something borrowed, and held no expresions..
You didn't need expression to feel friendship. Or to see it for that matter.
Vincent came in not to later and Bonnie ran rather fast disappearing in the darkness of the hallway. You checked the camera and saw Bonnie walking into parts and service, looking to the camera, giving a way then slumping agaunt the corner wall.
You couldn't believe it, this whole night was bizzare but one thing stuck out of be the most amazing yet strange..
Bonnie waved at you.
