Blaze was scrambling to put something together for breakfast, since he assumed Garroth didn't have anything earlier due to the fact that he was pushed out so suddenly that morning. He told Garroth to freshen up a bit and come out when ready. Except he realized that he had barely anything in his fridge and he didn't know how to necessarily cook...
Toaster waffles it is.
"Man...you're so romantic,", Amina giggled in his head.
"Do you have any better ideas?", Blaze asked, getting irritated slightly at his spirit.
Once the waffles were done, he put them on two plates and rummaged around his cabinets to try and find something to make it more special. While doing so, Amina said; "Be careful on that leg! It might not hurt right now but, it's not completely healed!"
"I know, I know!"
"Know what?"
Blaze snapped his head around and saw Garroth standing there, a little concerned. The redhead realized he shouted that out loud and quickly said; "Oh! Just my voice telling me what I need for groceries!"
Garroth smiled, allowing Blaze to relax a little bit. The blonde had changed into some jeans and a white t-shirt with a flannel. His glasses were spotless and his hair was slightly damp after taking a shower.
"I never asked...what's your voice's name?", Garroth asked, genuinely curious.
"Amina. She has a mom attitude about everything,", Blaze explained. "She was actually the one who encouraged me to tell you how I felt."
The blonde, confused, asked; "Ten years ago or a few days ago?"
"W-Well, um...", Blaze's face went red as he became flustered, cursing at himself for letting that slip. He glanced over at the waffles on the kitchen island and said; "Oh look! Waffles!"
Garroth held back a laugh as Blaze finally found the syrup and motioned for him to sit down. He thought it was cute that Blaze had even thought of making breakfast for him, since he already had so much on his mind. He sat down on one of the white stools at the kitchen and let Blaze serve him, proudly.
"Thank you for making this,", He said, as the plate was placed in front of him with syrup drizzled on top.
"No problem bro!", Blaze said, taking a seat himself. "It was pretty easy honestly!"
Garroth didn't hear that last part. He was thrown off by the word bro that came out of his mouth. "I haven't heard that in a while. Do you still say that?"
Blaze bit his lip and said; "In less serious situations, yes. If you don't like it-"
"N-No!", Garroth quickly said. "I like it! I really do! It reminds me of how we first met, technically!"
"Technically?", Blaze smirked, curious to see what he meant.
"Y-You know...at the taco place on the first week school? You and Laurance showed up...well, you actually called me handsome but-"
Blaze groaned, remembering the day. "Irene...I'm so sorry! Didn't I also call your blush cute?"
"Oh yeah! You did!", The blonde laughed. "It's okay, really..."
"I was so-"
"Cocky?"
"How did you-"
"Laurance called you that immediately after."
"Of course he did...I can't believe that was your first impression of me."
"It's okay! To be honest, I found it flattering. You were the first one to quote-on-quote flirt with me. Besides, we also met again as Protector and Howler."
