I went to the dinner with Alex and Nick, i was totally third wheeling even though they said I wasn't, Like i was one of the very few with out dates. Geo and Ava sat around the table with his team mates and I sat on a table with Just Alex and Nick. There was a photo booth,music lots and lots of food. Later they announced awards, after we had dinner. I got the smartest in our year, Alex Got most Organized and great leader, Nick got the most laid back, Geo got many like athletic, A friend of the world, Craziest, very chill.. After the mentioned all the awards then the spokesperson said
"Ohh we have one last one" everyone got surprised.
"Says we have 3 best couples of the year and one is the grand couple so we are gonna start with the one in third place" said the spokesperson
"On third place is Luca and Ashley" people cheered as they went on stage and got flowers and a transparent glass trophy . They left the stage and now they were announcing on second place.
"On second place is...... Nick and Alex" they both looked at each other and I stood up and started clapping i was so happy for them they deserved it, they got flowers, a transparent glass trophy and Silver tiara for Alex and a crown for Nick.
"Now down to our grand Favorite couple" the spokesperson looked at the card and smiled then said.
"Our grand couple is Juwany Roman and Jade Lockwood" people got surprised but still did a standing ovation my eyes widen as I was in shook of what was happening I mean Geo and I weren't even a couple. Alex and Nick pulled me up and pushed me to go to the front I looked at Geo and he was also surprised. We both went on stage and we were given a gift back each transparent glass trophy each flowers each and Crowns which were covered in diamonds. Then Geo spoke first on the mic.
"Yo" He posed and smiled because he was at loss of words.
"Yo, this took me by surprise because Jade and I aren't even a couple, we are best friends. So it's pretty weird that we were nominated as one, but thank you for the love and support i honestly don't deserve this well we because they are people in this room that are actually couples and deserve this, for all yall couples we are all winners tonight yall are beautiful stay blessed" people Clapped then he looked at me. And said.
"Jade, you are my everything, my sweet little Angel,my best friend, I love you very much (the crown went awwww, and i blushed and smiled) even though we had our ups and downs along the road we somehow stood beside each other, thank you for being a part of my life i hope we still grow together and see where our journey takes us" he kissed my forehead and hugged me this was the first time this evening Geo and I talked.
People clapped for his speech and i started to tear up because i was getting strong emotions with everyone and from him everything was so overwhelming at the moment. I got the microphone from him i chuckled, then i put my lips close to the mic but i couldn't say anything then everyone was like awwww and clapped then I laughed and finally said something.
"Um, First off thank you guys for nominating us or whoever came up with this because we were all surprised right?(people nodded). Second we aren't even a couple like Geo said but we really appreciate the love and support. I don't know what to say" I said because i was still overwhelmed, everyone clapped then i looked at Geo and said
"Geo I know I'm a handful whether we dated or not I am and was a handful, but you still stood by my side, you tolerate my moods and I know sometimes it's impossible to be around me but you still didn't leave." Tears started flowing again and I said.
"I hope we are still friends forever because i have never had someone like you in my life, you saw parts of me i could have never guessed I was capable of and for that I am thankful, you are partly the reason I finally moved on from my mental health problems and you showed me that there is a world out there still worth living and for that I'm thankful" everyone stood up and clapped and i hugged him.
He wiped my tears that were flowing gently and everyone cheered we laughed it out and left the stage. So the spokesperson said.
"We know you guys aren't a couple, but this was based on the survey we took months ago about who is the best couple or who at least would be a match we gathered up the information and according to the student body you three got most votes but the most that got highest was Juwany and Jade leading with 70% of the students. And not only did they like your old relationship but they also loved how no matter the scenes you guys caused around here, you still had a way to keep your friendship, and for Alex and Nick well you had 20% who rooted for you guys and The grand couple. Now for the third couple you had 10% so yes you guys deserved the winning couples of this year and congratulations to everyone of you that got awards. The dance floor is open lets make the most of it"
