Sunset Joseph x reader

You have hated the red church as you detest the eerie atmosphere the place had and that was where your match will be held today. As you headed towards the matching room, you notice the hunter was already waiting. "Good morning my dear." He greets you with a smile. "Morning Joseph." You smile back at him. "Come here." He commands, patting his lap. "But, won't the others come in and see us?" You question, shifting your gaze at the door. "A minute would suffice."

You slowly walk towards the male and he placed you onto his lap. He pulls you closer to him and places his chin onto your shoulder. "You smell like strawberries." He picks a strand of your hair and kisses it. "H-hey!" You blush at his action. "I've missed you dearly."

"I've missed you too."

It was forbidden for a survivor and a hunter to have a relationship as the owner of the manor forbids it although it never stopped Joseph from courting you the moment he fell in love with you. With the passing days, you both got to know each other and he asked you out which made you a couple as you agreed. "It's more than a minute already..." You whisper. Although he didn't want to let you go, he promised that it'll last a minute. Before you went back to your seat, he whispered, "Wear white."

As soon as you returned to your seat, you hear the quickening footsteps of the survivors. Tracy entered first, followed by Kevin and Jose. Joseph sneaks a wink at you before you were all brought to the red church. You started to hide around the corner until a photograph was taken. You went to the nearest cipher and started decoding. You see that Jose's photographed self was struck down and placed on a chair. You decided to save him and enter the photographed world. As you inch closer to the rocket chair, your heart started to pound. You see Jose's outline, released him from the chair and started to heal him.

"Ahem." Joseph clears his throat which caught your attention. You raise your head and see him with his arms crossed. "Are you jealous?" You stopped healing Jose midway and plant a chaste kiss onto Joseph's cheek. "Am I forgiven?" He nodded in satisfaction. Little did you know, a certain pair of eyes saw your interaction with the hunter.

As time passed, Jose and Kevin were sent back to the manor and there was only one cipher left. You started decoding the one inside the church and your heart started to pound again. "May I have this dance with you?" Joseph bows, lending his hand to you. You look left and right to check if Tracy was there. As the check was in the clear, you stopped decoding and take Joseph's hand. He leads you to dance a very famous waltz during the renaissance. As you were both dancing, you didn't notice Tracy's mechanic bot enter the church.

As you both finished dancing, Joseph wanted to take a picture together because you both were wearing matching white outfits. "How are you going to do it? If you take a picture, you'll be only taking a photo of me." Joseph pondered until Tracy's mechanic bot positioned itself at the camera. You were alarmed as you got caught by Tracy that you were dating a hunter. As if the mechanic bot could hear your thoughts, it raised a finger onto its mouth as it would be kept a secret. You sigh in relief and position yourself beside Joseph.

The mechanic bot raised its hand for the countdown. Joseph glances at your figure and sees you smiling widely. He snakes his left hand on your waist and brings you closer to him. Three, two, one, and snap! Joseph headed towards the camera and takes the photo. With that, he gives you the photo and surrenders. "We will see each other again." He kisses the knuckles of your hand before you were transported back to the manor. "(First Name)!" Tracy yells from the distance. "H-hi Tracy." You greet her. "Don't worry. My mouth is zipped!" You see her make an action as if she's zipping her mouth and throwing the key away. "Thank you."

"I won't speak of it in one condition."

"What is it?"

"Tell me your love story!"

And so the whole afternoon was spent on telling Tracy how you and Joseph met and became a couple.
