Phoenix's P.O.V.

It's been about 2 months since I've joined the team and I'm no longer living in a hotel room anymore and I'm now living in my own home that I bought myself.

Today the team and I are heading on a road trip for a week to play the west coast teams. This was my first big road trip so I placed my bag next to the door so it's easy for me to remember it, Sid would be picking me up within the next 10 to 15 minutes, now I gotta be fast about breakfast. So I walked into the kitchen and started to cut up some fruit and put it in some vanilla yogurt. Right as I finished I heard Sid pull up and honked his horn, signalling it was time to go.

"Morning Hot Stuff" Sid smirked as I got into the passenger seat of his car after putting my bag in the trunk, "morning handsome, ready to go?" I smiled at our nicknames we had for each other "yep, let's go" he said as he started backing out of my driveway and headed towards the airport. We arrived at the airport about 30 minutes later and about 30 minutes before everybody else.

Once everybody arrived we started going through the security check and onto the privet jet. We finally made it to LA in about 6 hours, we left at 8:00 and got there at 2:00, and tonight we are going to be playing the Kings.

By the time we got to the hotel it was 2:45 and we all went to our respective rooms to get ready for the game later tonight. I googled the closest place to get some food once I found it I walked over to Sid and Geno's room and asked if they wanted to come with me, they agreed. So we walked a block and found a little restaurant that sold a bunch of different things, I got a chicken Caesar wrap, some fries and a pop, and the boys got the same.

When we got our food we all sat down at a table outside and started talking about tonight's game. The game started at 7:30, so we had to be at the arena by 5:00. "The Kings are going to be hard to beat, they've been on a winning streak for the last 3 weeks" Sid said before shovelling some fries in his mouth "maybe if we get Birdie really mad we win?" Geno said after taking a drink of his Pepsi "really? You know I don't like fighting people G" I whined but started to laugh. We talked and ate for a few more minutes and then headed back to the hotel so we didn't miss the bus to the arena.

The first period was very uneventful, we had a lot of chances to get the puck into the net but we kept missing. "Ok guys. The first period sucked, we need to work 10x harder and faster. We just need to get the puck to the back of the net, ok?" Coach said before we got up and went back out onto the ice.

During the second period one of the Kings players, Drew Doughty, wouldn't leave me alone. So I did what any person would do, I started to fight him, the guys tried to get me to stop, I didn't care about anything but fighting right now so I didn't listen to them. After fighting for a good few minutes, the refs finally pulled us away from each other and brought us to our respective penalty box's. I got hit in the jaw a few times and felt a few of my back teeth and one in the front get knocked loose, so I made sure that I kept my teeth in just until I got back to the bench and give them to one of the trainers.

The game finally ended, with the Kings winning 5-2. I sat in my stall, just looking at my feet when coach came in "look, we can't win every game you guys. We played hard, but they played harder. We've got a game in 2 days against the Golden Knights, we just need to try and win that game, ok?" He clapped his hand, signaling for us to get out of our equipment and back to the hotel.
