Not far from marvel's workplace, a car was rushing through the zero care of the traffic lights, and the speed limits. Rose, the maniac behind the wheels, was in the middle of a mental breakdown, and apparently was running away from her problems by driving as far as she could from her house. Trying to calm herself down, she began to realize the speed that she was driving at, and the countless red lights she passed. "this must be your lucky day, worthless rose! Bette slow the pace now before your luck runs out, and the next thing you know... you're in the backseat of a police car" she says to herself. Suddenly, a red headed boy around her age appeared in front of the car, luckily, her tesla's brakes were spot on, and no harm was done to the boy. "what on earth is wrong with you!" said the boy with anger jumping out of his grass-green eyes. "I'm so sorry!" replied rose then rushed with her car out of the poor neighborhood she was in. while driving, she reflects the fight with her dad that led her to this state.
"it was just a party! Why do you have to be this dramatic dad?"
"just a party? There were around 500 kids in here, alcohol and weed! I'm done with your nonsense... you're grounded"
"well, I can't throw a party without them... nevertheless why do you care this much? No harm was done, in fact, everything was perfect until you showed up"
"I show up at any time I want, this is my house and my rules. Am I supposed to have your permission before coming home?"
"no, but you are never here anyway. Why can't you just let me be!" at this point rose thought that using this strategy and blaming him for her shit would succeed.
"seems like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree after all, you're just like your mother"
"don't you dare compare me with her!" well, her plan backfired, and she rushed out of the house.
"how could he compare me to mom!" said rose while starring at the horizon. Her mom has always been her biggest problem, as she left when rose was only 10 years old, and no one heard from her again. Moreover, Kevin (her father) found more comfort in his work, because he knew he would never be able to fill the void that Rose's mother left, nor confront rose herself with his foolishness. Rose, in turn, tried to be anything but her mother, and hid the effect of her parents' absence by becoming the school's most popular girl. Deep inside she felt that being that type of girl wouldn't make anyone notice the pain she suffered from and would make them envy her instead of sympathizing with her.
Looking back, Diana (rose's mother) was never family material just like tom. The difference was that at some point in tom's life he loved Tanya, while Diana only got married because the two families thought that merging their businesses and families would be a great idea. Kevin didn't really mind the idea since he had a crush on Diana and was a fresh graduate who is ready for work. Whilst Diana had zero interests in the family business and thought of Kevin as a friend so, refusal was her only answer to that marriage. Later, she got married due to the constant pressure from her family. Overall, the marriage was doomed to fail from the very beginning, but no one admitted it and denial was the weapon used.
"what now rose?" she wondered to herself. She had the thought of going back, but then concluded that it would be silly as she just left the house fifteen minutes ago. "how about hanging out at Tina's?... nooo waay I just broke up with her brother two weeks ago. it would be awkward as hell" Tina is one of rose's best friends, maybe the closest one, but the relationship between rose and Tina's brother would make things awkward since the breakup is still fresh. "found it" yelled rose. "I'm going to the only place where I can be myself, and never regret trying new stuff... the mall" she decided that since it was her favorite place, besides it would give her the opportunity to spend money and drive her dad crazy. She got into the car, turned the music up, then drove off.
