SEATED at the top of Hawkins, a group of teenagers sat around a makeshift tower trying to get into contact with another teen miles away. Sam assisted Will as they began to duck tape the metal poles to the beam, before the five sat the pole right side up.
They looked up at the tower, sweat decorated their foreheads due to the Indiana summer heat.
"Pretty impressive, right?" Dustin asked his friends who seemed rather tired and dehydrated.
"Yeah."
"Now, you ready to meet my love?" Dustin questioned as he sat on the grassy floor and grabbed his walkie.
"Sure."
"Yeah."
The radio switched on, "Suzie, this is Dustin. Do you copy? Over." He said as the four awaited for the girl's voice, only he was met with radio static. He looked at his friends who rose their brows at him impatiently, "One sec. She's probably . . . She's still there." He said awkwardly, "Suzie . . . this is Dustin. Do you copy? Over."
