The next morning, my mom went out to buy some food stuffs from Amelia a trader. Her store is sited opposite the house next to ours on our right.
She's the epitome of all hidden secrets in our community. Anytime you'd visit her store she is either sending out information or receiving information (like a computer).
The woman who gave the free water was her good friend I'm sure. This is because she used to go to Amelia and sit with her to chat.
My mom took too long before returning. I Knew receiving or sending information took place (haha). She came home with a shocked expression. She was like hmm people can be soon wicked and I was like why?.
Well she said before the free water woman traveled she gave her house keys to Amelia.
She went ahead to say that the taxi driver went to Amelia and told her to give him the key because it was the order of the free water woman.
She also said that the taxi driver and his family have been causing a lot of trouble in the community.
She again said that due to their wicked minds the woke up early at dawn to fetch the water the day before. They did not want anyone to see them forgetting we are in kasoa.
I just told my mother to forget them. The day continued and the site of the taxi driver just annoyed me.
He look good and kind at first. He used to send us to school anytime we met him.
He filled our gas when it was finished, it wasn't for free though. Getting drivers who will agree to fill your gas were rare.
He had a funny way of talking, one can have a long chat with him and hear nothing.
From there his daughters stopped greeting.
No one really cared(my siblings, my mom and i). My dad decided to ask the first daughter of the taxi driver.
She said "oh I greet oo maybe you don't hear". I wonder if she was trying to imply that my dad was deaf.
We did not here much from them tillllll.........................,................,...........................................,....
