My Beloved Mate (Vampire Todoroki x Reader)

I lived in a small village with my mom and dad. We are poor; but we were able to work, only given little money and was only able to get little food. The village was ruled by a vampire clan called the Todoroki's, who have been in control of this village for 300 years. My mother told me stories about the village of what life was like before the vampires came. The village was lively, people got along and partied everyday. But the Todoroki's came and took over. 

I worked at a horse barn, and it was my favorite thing to do. The owner of the barn hired me when I was ten. He's been so nice to me and taught me everything that I need to know. I was eighteen now and one day my boss came up to me.

"Hey Y/n, since you've been working with me for a few years now I'd like to give you this." He handed me money, way more money that I usually given. My eyes widened as I held the money in my hand.

"Are you serious boss? This is for me?" I felt my eyes begin to water as I looked at him.

"I'm positive Y/n. You are such a hard worker and I know that you been working for me for eight years. I want you to go buy food for yourself and your parents." He said as he gave me a smile. I hugged him and thanked him for the money.

"Your welcome! Now run along now and get food an have a nice meal with your family." I thanked him again as I ran to the shop to get food. I bought three small steaks, potatoes, and corn. I paid for the food and put it in my bag. I thanked them and ran back home. 

I entered the rundown house that I lived in with my parents. I saw my father was stitching up rips in our clothes in the living room area as mom was in the kitchen. 

"I'm home mom and dad." My parents stopped on what they were doing and came to me and welcomed me home.

"Welcome home Y/n, I just finished making the bread. Come sit down and eat up," my mom said as she walked back to the kitchen.

"Hey Y/n, what's in the bag?" My father asked as his eyes looked at the bag then back at me. 

"My boss gave me extra money so the three of us can have a nice meal together." I pulled the three steaks, potatoes, and corn from the bag and placed them on the table as my mom and dad came over to me as they looked at the food on the table.

"You bought this Y/n?" My mom asked as she unwrapped the steak.

"Of course I did. I wanted to do something nice for us since we are poor and make very little money and don't live in the best conditions, so my boss gave me extra money so we can have a nice meal together." A smile appeared on mom and dads face. They took the food and started to cook it for us to eat with the bread.  

Time passed an the food was done. I don't remember the last time I had a meal like this. I ate all the food and helped my mom with cleaning the dishes at the nearby stream. Once we were both done we went back home. I went to sleep since it was late at night already.

Morning came and I changed into different clothes and went to the kitchen area as I took a piece of the leftover bread then went straight to the horse barn for work. Today was just a normal day at work. As I was cleaning one of the horses stalls my boss came over to me.

"Hey Y/n, you can go home," he said as he stood in front of the horse stall.

"Are you sure boss?" I looked at him.

"I'm sure Y/n; and I'm sorry to say, you no longer need to work at this place." He looked like he was holding in his tears as he said that. I was shocked.

"What do you mean? Did I do anything wrong? If I did I can change, I can fix my mistake. Please don't do this. My boss looked down and spoke.

"I'm sorry Y/n. Please leave and take care." I ran out of the stall and ran back home with tears in my eyes. I loved working with the horses. It was the one thing I was good at and something that I loved doing. I made it home but saw the royal vampire carriage outside my home. 

What is the royal vampires doing here at my home? I thought as I entered the house and the eyes landed on me. To my surprise I saw my parents on the couch with two men I haven't seen before.

One was wearing a long sleeved red button shirt with a black tie, a navy blue vest with gray pants. His hair was spiky blond with red eyes. The way that he looks is that he gets mad easily. 

The man next to him was wearing a long sleeved  black button shirt with a red tie, a gray dress coat and gray pants. His hair was pointy red with red eyes. When he smiled me saw that he had pointy teeth.

"Mom, dad; who are these people and what are they doing here?" My parents said nothing, so I spoke to the two men. 

"Alright, I don't know who you are or why your here, but I'll let you know that I'm not in a good mood since I lost my job, so you better answer me." I crossed my arms as I stared at them.

"The king sent us here to fetch you. You are now property of the Todoroki vampires." The guy with the blond hair said.

"WHAT?! I'm property of nobody, I'm not going and I don't care what your precious king says." I spoke to the guy with blond hair.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY YOU DAMN HUMAN?" He was about to walk to me but the other guy stopped him.

"Calm down Bakugou, let me handle this." The guy with the red hair spoke then looked at me.

"Look Y/N, this is an order that must be followed, I'm sorry but there's no other way to stop this." The one named Bakugou than handed my parents a big sack of money. My parents eyes lit up and I was in complete shock.

"You guys were behind this? After all the struggles that we had to go through as a family you sold me to the king for money?" My mom then looked at me after I spoke.

"I'm sorry Y/n, but we needed the money and the king was willing to pay us a lot of money if he bought you, so we took the offer." She was about to come up to me but I stopped in her tracks as I yelled.

"SO WHAT YOU'RE SAYING IS THAT I WAS JUST AN OBJECT FOR YOU TO SELL SO YOU CAN HAVE MONEY? I'M YOUR ONLY CHILD AND THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT ME?" Before she had the chance to speak, I spoke again.

"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO SAY. I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU." Tears started to fall out of my eyes and I was about to fall to the ground. The guy with the red hair caught me before I fell on the ground. He put his coat on me and helped me to the carriage. 

"My name is Eijiro Kirishima, but call me Kiri. Don't worry, we'll take care of you for now on. You will live in the Todoroki castle." He helped me in the carriage and sat in there with me. I then saw the guy named Bakugou walk to the front of the carriage as it started to move. I looked out the window as I was leaving the village that I always known and grew up in. The life I knew is gone, for now I was going to live in the castle of the Todoroki's.
