Little Too Much

Ruben <3 (Chapter 3) short*

I wake up in the morning to my phone ringing....I groan opening my eyes and reading the caller ID.

Unknown? I have no idea who this could be.. I answer the phone, my morning grogginess going into the speaker.

"Hello?" I say and a loud burst of something is ejected into my ear drums.

I pull the phone away from my ear and then that when I realise that its Matt, Uhhg!

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US WHERE YOU WERE GOING?! DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED YOUR MOTHER WAS?! GET YOUR ASS HOME RIGHT NOW!!" He screamed into the phone from the other line.

"Okaay, ima be on my way" I said and hung the phone up, not caring if he got mad or not. Honestly i'm done with him; thinking hes the boss and he can talk to me like that...he doesn't even care about my mom!?

"Who was that?" Mariah asked.

"Matt." I said unemotionally.

"Oh...Do you need a ride home?" Katy asked me.

"No, its fine I don't really want to go home either.." I said truthfully.

"Well what are you gunna do?" Mariah asked.

"Honestly, I don't know"

I thought about what would happen if i were to go back home; I would probably be in trouble, but if I don't go back and he finds me then its gunna be even worst. Also what if I don't go back and he doesn't find me, then what and even if I do try to hide where would I hide??

"Well, you could stay at my house if you want..My parents are going on a family trip for a couples of weeks" Katy offered.

"Are you sure?" I asked her.

"Yeah, absolutely, positively, 100%, sure" Katy said and when she says that, shes for sure..

"Okaay, thank you sooo much Kate"I said walking over to her and giving her a big bear hug.

Me, Mariah, and Katy decided to go have brunch. They said it would be good for me to get out and get some sun light..so right now we are tring to figure out what to wear for the day.

" I think ima wear this." Katy said holding up a plain dark blue skater dress, with black flats.

"that looks pretty" Mariah and I said together.

"What are you guys gunna wear?" Katy asked me and Mariah.

"well.....I think im going to wear." She paused and pulled out black legings and a big gray long sleeve with brown combat boots.

"Yess! You should wear that!" Katy said enthusiastically.

"What are you gunna wear Jen?" Mariah asked me.

"Umm....I think iam going to wear this" I said and showed them a black skirt with flower print on it and a long sleeve black shirt with a golden necklace..and really cute sandals.

We finish getting ready and once we are all satisfied with ourselves, we head out and go to this little cafe down town, we walk in, only a few tables taken.

We find a table at one of the windows and we order our coffees, just talking about girl stuff and a group of guy were sitting on the other side of the cafe. One of then just keep looking over at our table.

"Hey, do you guys know them?" I ask Mariah and Katy.

"No. Why?" Katy asks me.

"Because they keep looking over here" I whisper just in case they can here me.

"Nope." Is all Mariah say.

One guys gets up and starts walking over in our direction.

"Um..Excuse me?" He says scratching the back of his neck obviously nervous.

"Yes?" I say, trying to supress and smile and a laugh.

"Your, uhh......Jennifer, right?" He asks and thats when i realise that its Ruben.

"Ohh! Ruben? Hey!" I say with a smile.

"oooh, whos this?!" Katy says and nudges me in my side playfully.

"uhh.." I start but he cuts me off.

"Her Friend."He says sticking out his hand for her to shake and he winks at me.

"So..I'll Text you later?" He said more like a question, not knowing if I want him to or not.

"Yeah." I said and just had to smile.

"Wow." Mariah and katy say then they look at me.
