The three gunshots had barely faded when the doors opened.

Everyone turned toward the entrance.

"Ahh, you're here." Hanbin's expression immediately twisted into a grin.

Haechan stood there, breathing heavily, his clothes already stained from the fight outside. Mark, Taeyong, Yoonoh, Jaemin, and the others stood behind him, weapons raised and ready.

For one brief moment, Haechan's eyes found Yeoreum.

She was still on her knees. Blood stained her lower lip, her face was swollen, and her body trembled from the pain she had been forced to endure.

Something inside him broke. Instead of running toward her, Haechan suddenly dropped to the ground. He groaned loudly, clutching his abdomen.

Hanbin's booming laughter immediately filled the room.

Taeyong raised his gun, ready to shoot, but Chanwoo immediately aimed his weapon at Yeoreum.

Haechan's head snapped toward him. "No! Don't!"

He tried to move, but the pain shooting through his thigh and knee made him stumble.

He hadn't been shot. It was Yeoreum's pain. The soulmate bond was feeding every injury back to him.

"Reum..."

Haechan struggled to breathe.

"Reum, look at me."

Yeoreum's eyes slowly lifted. A silent cry escaped her as she used the little strength she had left to look at him.

Their eyes met across the room.

"We'll get this over with, okay?"

Yeoreum gave him the smallest smile.

Haechan's heart shattered. Seeing her like this was worse than any bullet he had ever taken. Every wound on her body felt like it belonged to him, and the red glow of their tattoo burned brighter against his skin with every second that passed.

He forced himself back onto his feet. His legs shook beneath him, but he refused to fall.

"Yeoreum, please fight."

Her eyes filled with tears.

"I'm sorry... I love you."

Tears immediately spilled down Haechan's face.

He slowly limped toward her, each step becoming heavier as her pain continued to weaken him.

Behind him, the others could only watch. Their hands were still wrapped around their weapons, but none of them dared to move. They knew one wrong decision could cost Yeoreum her life.

Jaemin's fists tightened. He couldn't stand there and watch his sister suffer.

But Haechan had already made his decision.

"Whatever happens, don't meddle."

Jaemin immediately looked at him. "What? Are you insane? You'll end up—"
