S1 Ep1

"Whoever can open this door will gain a great new power. But know, that with such a reward comes great risk. Have you the courage to unlock this power?" At this the eyes of the door starts to glow red and Yuma starts to back away from the door. "Um great risk? Lemme think about it, don't think so..." Yuma goes to step back and the rocks collapse underneath the boy as he wakes up on his floor. "Weird dream." Yuma mutters to himself. "Oh well, least I'm up now." He hears his clock go off and notices that he is late for school. 

"And late! Aw, not again!" Yuma swings down from the rope in his room. "What am I forgetting? What am I forgetting? Oh yeah, to get dressed." Yuma rushes and hurries to get dressed. "Sure, sounds like a scoop. I'll get right on it boss." Now Kari takes her pen out of her mouth and starts to work with it digitally. "I love a good lead in the morning." "What gives, Kari? Why didn't you wake me up?" "Because I'm a news reporter, not your babysitter. You're in middle school now, little bro, act like it." Yuma stretches out his mouth and sticks his tounge out at Kari before running off to find his school shoes.

 We now go to see Yuma's grandmother sweeping outside. "Bye, grandma." "But Yuma, what about a goodbye kiss?" "No time." Yuma says as he runs past his grandmother but she uses the broom she had been sweeping with to lift Yuma up high by his collar. "Uh, grandma, what are you doing?" "Either you give grandma a kiss goodbye or you get a grand slobbering."

Now as Yuma runs through the city he was so busy focusing on the food he was eating that he didn't see the trash bot in his path and Yuma falls on the pavement his deck scattered around him along with the contents of his backpack as well. "Trash identified, Trash identified, Trash identified." Litterbots said as they reached for Yuma's deck. 

"Hey, that's not trash! Cut it out!" Yuma scatters into the middle and starts to gather his deck. "No it's not, it's my deck." "Your deck?" A litterbot says looking closer at one of the cards. "Yeah, for dueling." "Dueling trash, dueling trash." The bots repeat. "Arrr, listen you tin twits, they're not trash!"

 We see a train speed by Lulu, Tori, and Shay all look at Yuma Tori blushes but looks down embarrassed for Yuma, Shay shakes his head looking away, and Lulu's hand presses against the train's door. When they get to school Shay walks off from Tori and Lulu both when he sees Yuto waiting for him.

Now at second period gym. "Twenty! Jump over this many vault boxes and you'll set the new school record!" Bronk says, one of their fellow classmates. "That records goin down,' Cause I'm about to high five the sky!" Yuma tried to jump over the vault boxes but he falls right through them and onto the ground hard. 

Everyone laughs at this and next we see Yuma go underwater for another dare. 'Hold my breath for a lap?' Yuma thinks to himself. "No problem.... Ahhhhh!" Yuma swallows some of the water and ends up with water coming out of his mouth like it's a fountain when he's on the surface. "Bye guys it's the end of gym now have to go!" 

Lulu says running off for the locker room gym was the only class Lulu had with Yuma and Tori as they were a year below her. "So as this example clearly shows a sentence has a noun and a predicate." "So why do you do it Yuma?" Tori asks looking towards Yuma, concerned. "Those dares, why not? It's good fun." "So it's fun to turn the same shade as my hair coughing up pool water? I just don't know Yuma...." 

"No but that's the price you pay. If you're gonna be great, ya gotta take chances. So I take lots because I want to be the greatest Tori, and with this golden key one day I will be."  "That's the key your parents gave you right? That they found on one of their expeditions right?" Tori asks looking at the shiny artifact. "Yep and you know what it unlocks? Potential isn't that cool?" "Really? Think it could work on me?" Tori asks touching the golden key.

"Nope." Yuma holds the key to his chest and Tori falls slightly onto the table. "Why?" "Cause this key's a part of me. With it, I'm good to go." Yuma smiles before he stands up out of his chair. "With it, I feel the flow!!!!!!" Yuma screams while the teacher stands in front of his desk. "Ahem." "Sorry." Yuma says as he rubs his head nervously.

*Later on during lunch period."

Yuma and Tori smiled as they looked around during duel period, Shay walked over to the two standing by Tori and Yuma along with Yuto who had been leaning against the wall joined the three. The four all put on their duel gazers and look around them as monsters cause destruction in the augmented reality system. 

"What are we waiting for-" Yuma asks and then Shay scoffs. "For you to move." Shay says pushing past Yuma. "Now who to duel today?" Yuma says with his fist balled up. "You mean who to lose to?" Tori asks. "What's that supposed to mean? I mean, yeah, sure I've lost twenty straight so what?" "Yuma.... Look!" Tori points upwards to where we can see Lulu dueling someone. 

"It's Lulu!" Shay says as he starts run up the stairs. "Oh no! Look who she's dueling!" "It's Shark." "I've got you now Lulu. See since I've got two monsters on the field and they both have the same level. I can use them to summon an XYZ Monster. So watch as I overlay my Skull Kraken and Big Jaws to do just that! Watch as I unleash a terror of both land and sea!" The two monsters turn into a blue and purple beams of energy which shoot into the sky, and then go into a galaxy styled spiral portal. 

"Watch as I summon the most vicious shark that brings pure destruction along with it! I XYZ summon! Aero Shark!" Now the Xyz monster shoots out of the ground and it roars fiercely. "Now that's a man-eater." "You know why an Xyz summon is so cool Tori? Cause the monsters used stick around as Overlay Units and help activate their new buddy's special powers. It's all about teamwork." Yuma says smiling.

"Now Aero Shark dig in on Lulu!" The Xyz monster attacks Lulu and she falls to her knees while her arms shield her and her life points drop to zero. "Oh no, Lulu." Shay says as he watches Shark walk over to his sister. "Thanks for the duel Lulu." Shark says as he picks the girl up and she falls into his chest. "And for this." Shark then takes the girls deck and she whimpers in pain. "Lulu's deck?" 

Shay says but Yuto puts his arm in front of Shay as Yuma goes forward. "Not so fast!" Yuma says as he shoots forward. "Who are you?" Shark asks Yuma. "My name is Yuma, and I'm Lulu's good friend." "Oh are you now?" Shark says as he still looks down at the girl who is still leaning against his chest for support. "Buzz off or do you not know who your messing with?" One of Shark's minions ask. "Sure, I know him. Everyone knows the school bully." "Yuma don't....." Lulu whispers. "I'm no bully. You see Lulu and I had an arrangement." "What?" "It went something like this whoever won got the other's deck."

"Is that true?" Yuma asks Lulu and she nods. "I had to Yuma, couldn't say no or risk being considered scared." "Fine then if you're going to challenge my friend then I'll challenge you!" Then when Shark's minions denied Yuma a match he looks to Shark. "So is that a no? I guess that means your just a big chicken!"

 Now Shark looks at Yuma angrily. "Chicken? You know what happened to the last person who called me a chicken?" "Something, ughhh, bad?" "I don't know because it's never ever happened before!" "Oh well then let this be the first." "Big talk. Alright, Yuma, say that we did duel. You want Lulu's deck back but what's in it for me?" "Good question...." Yuma looks down to his golden key.

"Hadn't thought of that." Shark snatches Yuma's golden key from his neck. "Hey that's mine!" Yuma says as he goes to take back his key but Shark's minions held him back. "My, this certainly seems important to you, now doesn't it?" "Give it!" Yuma says putting his hand out. "Settle down, since it means that much to you, I'll give it back and duel you for it... Whoops. I dropped it. Hope nothing bad happens to it down there, say, like this."

 Shark then stomps on the golden key and part of it breaks off. Then when Shark walks away from it his minions let go of Yuma and Yuma bends down to pick up what's left of the key. "Why did you do that?" "The same reason why I'm doing this." Shark then kicks what's left of the key far off. "Guess you're right after all I am a bully! And since we can't duel for that you can't get this." "You're toast!"  

Yuma says as he tries to go for Shark but Shay and Yuto hold him back. "You don't give up do ya? Alright, if you still wanna duel me, I guess we can figure some sort of arrangement out. If you beat I'll give Lulu her deck, but if I win Yuma I get your deck. This Sunday. At the station courtyard."
