S1 Ep5

It was later on late at night when Nelson was on his room's balcony sadly looking up to the night sky. "What's that?" Nelson said when he saw a card facedown and a dark purple aura surrounding it. "It's a card." 

Once Nelson picked up the card it turned out to be a Number card and Nelson groaned as a dark purple aura surrounded him and the Number card spoke to Nelson. "Yes, Nelson. Let the Number take hold. Nelson groaned as he tried to let go of the Number but the Number resisted and Nelson soon realized it was hopeless and a green number 83 appeared on Nelson's hand and started to glow. 

Now we go to a man wandering the streets and he throws a beer can behind him as he continues on. "Oh, hey man. Nice cape." "Disregarding the city's littering laws? I know you you're one of the Dark Emperors minions aren't, you?" The Sparrow asks. "Eh... The what?" That night The Sparrow went around attacking people he couldn't control himself, it was the Numbers doing. 

Next day in school Tori and Yuma sat on a desk together watching a video on Yuma's computer. "Multiple eyewitnesses report that the assailant was none other then The Sparrow, the hero of the popular Tv series. We go now to a press conference being held by the shows producers." Now Yuma and Tori see his mother who is having microphones shoved at her. "Our Sparrow would never do such things. He stands for honor, truth, and justice." "This is awful." Tori says once the video ended. "Someone's trying to make The Sparrow look awful."

*Later that night*

"What are we doing out here, Tori?" Yuma says holding a flashlight and aimlessly following her, Lulu, and Shay who had refused to let Lulu out this late at night "We're out here to prove the Sparrow's innocence. Tying random people up and flipping over cars? The Sparrow would never do stuff like that." "Yeah, you're right about that he'd be way too afraid." "Way too what?" Tori asks stopping to look at Yuma. 

"Way too.... Way too awesome." They hear a man screaming and they run up to the stairs and come to where he's tied up. "Are you okay, sir?" Tori asks as she kneels down next to him to untie him. "Over there, Yuma!" Shay shouts he and Shay start to run for the person who they saw escape into the alleyway. 

"Hey you, stop!" Yuma had a run-in with Nelson that night but he didn't tell Tori that he knew it was The Sparrow who was terrorizing the people of Heartland city. Later on Yuma and Astral were sitting on a roof side by side. 

"That was definitely Nelson behind that mask." Yuma says sadly. "Why is he doing all this? It just doesn't seem like the kid I met the other day." "The answer is out there, let's find it." Astral says with a smile on his face. "And how do we do that? I'm all ears." Yuma says. "You made a promise to Nelson when you met him. You should fulfill that promise." 

"Huh?" "You said you would duel him. That's exactly what you should do. A duel can bring out someone's inner strength, no matter how deeply it is buried." Yuma's eyebrows raise. 

"Yeah let's do this."

Yuma waited until it was late at night and stayed in the closed set him and the gang had originally sneaked into waiting for Nelson, waiting to duel with Taehyung but Yuma and Tae decided the risk would be smaller if Taehyung went into his natural form and so he did. Later Yuma saw Nelson walk up the set's stairs to get his mask and this was when Yuma decided to turn the spotlight on him. 

"Aaaaand.... Action!" At this Nelson turned around to see Yuma. "Nelson, why are you going around attacking people like this?" "What are you doing here? I thought I told you to stay away." "No I won't let you do this!" Yuma shouts out. "I have fulfill my duty to the Galaxy Queen." This softens Yuma. "Your mom?" "I swore to defeat the dark emperor Furious Max and his minions." 

Yuma looks confused at this now Nelson puts on his mask once again shrouding his identity. "Now as for you, why have you come here? Has the dark emperor managed to sink his claws into you, as well?" Yuma thought back to when Nelson's mother told him to think about how many people depend on him being The Sparrow. "Oh, man. You're really letting all of this get to you." Now Yuma puts on his duel disk and his duel gazer. "You want a piece of me? Well I'll give you the whole pie."

"Let's duel!"

Now The Sparrow pushes his cape aside a little bit and the glowing Number 83 on his hand is visible and a dark purple aura surrounds him. "You're going to lose Yuma!" "Did you see?" Astral asks. "He has a Number card." "It must be amplifying the pressure that he feels to be The Sparrow." "Let's do this! I draw! I summon Beast Warrior Puma!" "I have seen him in action. Not only is he incredibly acrobatic, he is a rather gifted swordsmen." 

Astral remarks about The Sparrow. "I end my turn by playing one card facedown." "Puma meet Yuma!" Yuma says as he draws a card. "I draw! I summon Gogogo Golem." "I suppose you're going to send that lumbering brute in to attack Puma." "You took the words right outta my mouth! Gogogo Gust!" 

"I can't believe it! You walked right into my trap!" Astral facepalms himself Yuma wasn't quite smart and wasn't really managing to help Nelson. "Since I have three copies of Triple Star Trion in my hand, I can activate Trion Barrier. And force your Golem into Defense mode! And then, I can summon my three Triple Star Trion's to the field." 

"Three monsters at once?" Yuma says more to himself than to Nelson. "I play one card facedown! That's it!" "Then it's my turn! I draw! First I'm releasing two of my Trions, so that I can Tribute Summon! Esper Star Sparrow is ready to crash the party!" Then a monster that resembles an evil Sparrow bursts through the glass window on the set. And now I'll activate my Trion's special ability! Which means, I can restack my field by bringing back the other two trions that are in my graveyard go Lavish return!"

"Welcome back you two! Next, I'm activating Space Ration from my hand! I can activate this card's power because Esper Star Sparrow is on my field. Thanks to it's effect, I can draw two cards from my deck! And with that done, I Overlay my three level one Trions! With these three monsters I build the Overlay Network! I Xyz summon! Kneel before Number 83, Galaxy Queen!" 

Yuma notices Nelson's mother has a strong resemblance to the Galaxy Queen card. "You just summoned your mom." "The Galaxy Queen. I equip the Galaxy Queen with Furious Max's curse! While under this spell's influence, The Galaxy Queen can't be destroyed! And now I use one Overlay Unit to activate the Galaxy Queen's special ability! The Galaxy Queen can grant every monster on my field immortality until my next turn, and allow them to deal damage even if your monster is in defense mode! Beast Warrior Puma, attack! Go Dark Slash!" 

"Since Gogogo Golem is in Defense mode, in battle once per turn!" "Perhaps so, but your lifepoints still take damage! And now, to finish what Puma started, Go Star Sparrow, attack! Mega Punch Surprise!" Yuma's lifepoints which had gone to 3900 from Beast Warrior Puma's attack now lessened till there were at 2400 and Yuma screamed as he was hit back by the attack and fell onto the floor harshly.

"Don't you see? You can't win! I am The Sparrow!" He remarks as he sets a card facedown. "I have journeyed through time and space to fight the forces of evil and restore justice to the galaxy!" Yuma now gets up scratched everywhere and bleeding. "Well you know what? I've journeyed from my bedroom to restore you to your true self so can you make this a little easier? It was a long walk."
