We were one week in to our 2nd semester. It wasn't stressful.. yet. We didn't have to do much, just some readings, small projects and excercises, and some activities we had to work on. There weren't much, or atleast that's just for me. Being in this school since 11th grade made me get used to this amount of work needed to be done. So honestly, the pile of work that was given to us on our first week was still pretty chill.

It was Wednesday afternoon. Me and Tzuyu had just finished our last class for the day. We both decided to eat at this bakery-slash-cafe near the university. Dahyun still had one class to go, so we told him that the three of us should go home together after me and Tzuyu eat.

"Ah, we're all going to have the same last class tomorrow." I looked at my schedule from my phone. We were already seated outside the bakery, waiting for our order to be served.

"You know what? I feel like cooking. We should have dinner together tomorrow." I exclaimed, my eyes on the giant. She turned her gaze on me and gave me this sarcastic looking thumbs up right in front of my face.

I just gave her one confusing look and she chuckled. "What?" I asked her.

"It's just... unusual for the three of us"

"It's like summer break has changed the three of us big time" She added.

It's true. Ever since we came back from summer break, Dahyun and I have been talking and hanging more with Tzuyu, which was good. My guts were right: Tzuyu is great company.

Not more than 10 minutes later, food was finally right in front of us. Me and Tzuyu just ate in silence. I didn't really feel awkward during that quiet time, unless when our eyes land on each other as we munched, resulting us to laugh at each other. Tzuyu seemed to be liking the quiet atmosphere in this bakery. I think of it as lovely as well since there was no crowd that time.

"So... uh, are you dating someone?" I decided to break the silence between us.

I saw her eyes widen big. I even think she almost choked on her food. She coughed and I just smiled at her as if I was going to let out a laugh because of her reaction.

"What? No. What makes you think that?" she said softly, but being the observant I am, I've come across to the conclusion that if I push her more, I'd annoy her.

"Eh, I don't know. You seemed pretty distant with me and Dahyun when you just got here, so I thought you had a boyfriend. Like, you didn't need to talk and hang with us because you already have someone to do that with you." I reasoned out. I was about to finish my food.

She just stared at me blankly. "And you think we've broken up now, that's why I am hanging out with you guys more?"

"Never really thought of that. Makes sense though." I stared at the sky above as if I was trying to analyze things.

"No, unnie." She chuckled. "I've never had a boyfriend or anything like that."

"Then why are you being suddenly like this?" I referred to her level of closeness with us.

I knew I was starting to get into her nerves. "I don't know. This is just how I get along with people. Gradual and slow, I guess." she answered.

I just gave her that "I'm satisfied with your answer" look.

"How about me? Aren't you going to ask if I have anyone?" At this point, I was just being chatty.

Tzuyu chuckled and said "I don't like asking and I haven't found any reason to ask you. In short, I don't find you interesting.. yet." She just laughed at me.

My jaws dropped together with my brows raising with what she said. Did she just say I'm boring?

"Well your height really fits well with your mouth. They're both disgustingly big." I knew it was a lame rebutt but it was all I could think of. I couldn't let her get away with what she said.
